Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, Information is very crucial thing. In a era we are living in, some argue that information is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and other academic world. Whereas, some claim that information should not be revealed like that should be hidden. In addition, only some specific information should be revealed.

In today's world, to train Ai we need data or some information to feed into to it. Through which it learn and then give us the solution. You can't reveal the information plus companies pay decent amount of money to buy quality information. Claude pays million dollar to buy some particular books which contain quality information from libraries. they used these books to train their model and optimized it. Just reveal only specific parts to public and everything else kept hidden.

Some people wanted to know what is happening. They want bigger institutions to reveal information through which they implement in their businesses to grow. Scientific information is a research on particular thing and you can't reveal the result to public. Lastly, Talking about the academic world, everything should be publicly available to help students to improve their understanding and to improve their grades.

To conclude, Govrement reveal only some information which will be beneficial for public and bigger institutions want to grow their businesses ,they will not reveal these things. Only scientific research, which will not harmful for public should be reveal and everything else in which we have chances of, someone use this information to harm other person, always kept hidden.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You attempt to discuss both views and give a position: you support public access to academic information while arguing that sensitive or commercially valuable material should remain restricted. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The claim that scientific results “can’t be reveal[ed] to public” is not explained, and the example about Claude buying books focuses on AI training rather than clearly showing why information should or should not be shared. Your conclusion introduces a public-safety distinction, but the criteria for deciding what is safe remain vague. The response contains 246 words, four words below the 250-word minimum; the 14 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each side with a clear reason and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use basic signposting such as “In addition,” “Lastly” and “To conclude.” However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the paragraph about AI moves from training data to paid books and then to a recommendation without fully connecting these points. The contrast between the two views is not consistently organised, and some references, such as “like that” and “these things,” are vague. Several ideas are placed next to one another rather than linked through explanation. Group the arguments for openness and restriction more clearly, and use precise references and transitions to show how each example supports your point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “quality information,” “institutions” and “publicly available,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, especially repeated uses of “information” and “reveal.” Some word choices and collocations make meaning less natural, as in “a research on particular thing” and “decent amount of money.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “Govrement” and “harmful” in “will not harmful” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise terms for the different kinds of information and for the reasons to share or protect it. The vocabulary is generally understandable, but errors and repetition sometimes make the reader work to interpret your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “books which contain quality information” and a conditional idea about information being used to harm someone. However, complex attempts are often incomplete or faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “In a era” needs an article correction, “Through which it learn” is a sentence fragment with incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “everything else kept hidden” is missing a verb. There are also problems with verb forms and sentence boundaries, as in “should be reveal” and the comma splice in the conclusion. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, articles and passive constructions, then check each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb.
