Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people opine that, it is a better idea to provide much information in some aspects related to science, finance, and academic, whereas others postulates that providing information in free manner can also valuable. So, in the forthcoming paragraphs, I have suggested some reason associated with this trend and I have also included my stand at the end.
On the one hand, in this modern epoch, it much beneficial to gain knowledge about such topics because most of the exams for instance, UPSC, GPSC, IELTS and other competitive exams contains several questions regarding research, finance and history. It can helpful to aquire more knowledge about that kind of topic which also enhance peoples' general knowledge and people can become more attentive while receiving that kind of informations.
On the other hand, in this modern era, society become heterogenous, so gaining knowledge about finance and scientific reserch is not everyones' cup of tea. Sometimes it can be burdon on them, who are not willing to study or read information about those topics. Individuals want freedom to do what their mind tells, therfore it is essential to have an information and knowledge about other fields for example sociology, sporting events, dramas and history of our ancesters. This can helps to rejuvenate themselves, stay active after aquiring information and always willing to take more knowledge. It can leads to more satisfaction and agreement.
In my opinion, people should learn more and more things despite limited knowledge of a particular subjects or criteria. It enhance their personality and general knowledge.
To sum up, sharing more and more information in some topic such as, reserch, academic related subjects and bussiness can helps to normalise themselves in this modern era, whereas it can be burdon on some people, who want freedom to gain more knowledge in other aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response recognises the topic and gives a personal view: “people should learn more and more things.” However, it only partially addresses the two views in the question. The first body paragraph argues that knowledge helps people prepare for exams and improve general knowledge, rather than explaining why scientific, business or academic information should be shared openly. The second focuses on people preferring other subjects and feeling burdened, but does not explain why some information may be too valuable or sensitive to share freely. The conclusion repeats these points without resolving the central issue. To strengthen the response, discuss benefits such as collaboration and public access, then consider reasons for protecting research or commercial information, and support your position with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, an opinion paragraph and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help identify the stages of the response. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the discussion moves from sharing information to exam preparation, then to freedom to study unrelated subjects, without explaining the links to the question. Some connections are also repetitive, particularly the repeated references to gaining knowledge and general knowledge. Organise each body paragraph around one of the two views in the prompt, and use clearer cause-and-effect links so that examples directly support the main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response attempts a range of topic-related and formal expressions, including “modern epoch,” “general knowledge,” “competitive exams,” and “rejuvenate themselves.” This shows an effort to use vocabulary beyond basic everyday language. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “providing information in free manner can also valuable” and “normalise themselves” do not express the intended ideas clearly. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “reserch,” “burdon,” and “bussiness.” Aim for simpler, precise phrasing and check collocations; for this topic, terms such as “share research findings,” “protect commercially sensitive information,” and “public access” would be more appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There are attempts to form complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “whereas,” “because,” and “who,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, the range is limited and many sentences contain errors in basic structures, agreement, articles or verb forms. Examples include “it much beneficial,” “exams … contains,” “It can helpful,” and “This can helps.” The sentence beginning “Sometimes it can be burdon on them” also has an unclear grammatical construction. These recurring errors make some relationships between ideas harder to understand. Practise accurate sentence patterns first, especially subject–verb agreement and modal verbs (“can help”), then build longer sentences around one clear main clause.
