Student answer (Band 6.0)

These days, a wide range of information in all aspects of life is available. many individuals think that it is great to share knowledge with others as much as they can while others believe that some information is highly confidential that it should not be spread to everyone. In this essay, I will discuss both point of views in detail but before that in my perspective, I firmly believe that valuable information should only be shared to relavant people.

On one side, it is a good approach to share bundle of data with others so that people can get benefit from it and due to rise in technology dominance it is now more convenient for individuals to share data online on various social platforms like Facebook, Instagram and by sharing one post, millions of people are able to view and gain wisdom and it will help them to make decisions easily. For example, financial data shared over the internet can help others to make wise decisons. By saying this, I mean that a person who have no financial literacy can be awared of stock market, mutual funds and best investments options and the information shared by others might help them to make decision efficientlly.

On the other side, sometimes information is too personal that it should not be share to public and can only be delivered to relevant person because some people with bad intentions out there are able to modify and can misuse the information and ruins the person life. For instance, with the usage of artificial intelligence, anyone can modify personal information of others and claim as their own. As a result, it is more convenient to share only such data that you think can assist others.

In my opinion, it is important to share data with huge responsibilty so that only useful data delivered to others and in case of any information which is confidential must be shared after the consent provided by data holder.

In conclusion, sharing information is important in an objective to help others. However, it also brings a lots of responsibilty to share data.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear position: valuable information should be shared only with relevant people. The discussion of open sharing includes a relevant example about financial information helping people learn about investments, while the opposing view raises privacy and misuse, including AI-generated alterations. These points keep the response focused on the question. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the benefits of sharing are explained more fully, whereas the risks are described generally, without distinguishing sensitive research, commercial information, or personal data. Your conclusion also repeats the need for responsibility rather than drawing together the two arguments. Develop the reasons behind your position and use more specific examples to make the discussion more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On one side,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow, and examples are placed alongside the relevant claims. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the stronger control associated with more flexible progression. However, the linking can feel mechanical, and the opinion is stated in both the introduction and a separate paragraph without being fully integrated into the discussion. Some references are also unclear, as in “it will help them,” where the referent could be specified. Use more varied transitions and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “confidential,” “financial literacy,” “stock market,” “mutual funds,” “consent,” and “artificial intelligence.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. At times, however, word choice and collocation are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “share bundle of data,” “technology dominance,” and “make decision efficiently.” There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “relavant,” “decisons,” and “responsibilty.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and polish. Aim for natural combinations such as “share a large amount of information” and “make informed decisions,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “so that,” “because,” and “that,” and the overall meaning is generally clear. Some sentences are controlled, such as “In my opinion, it is important to share data with huge responsibility,” although the wording itself could be improved. There are some grammatical errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “a person who have” should use a singular verb, and “it should not be share” needs a passive participle. The long sentence beginning “due to rise in technology dominance” also joins several ideas without clear grammatical control. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and passive forms, and divide long sentences where needed.
