Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some individuals think that it is good to share as much data as possible in scientific reasearch, business and academic world. Other people believe that some facts is too significant or too important to be disclosed freely. I believe that sharing information is totally depends upon the type of information being shared.
Although some people believe that share all information in scientific reasearch, business and academia. If there is any new information related to any field like research, study or business then it should be shared freely that it will be very helpful for people. There should be no restriction for that. For example if there is any new finding in any field like scientific reasearch or business then it should be published publicaly so people can read that information and get their doubts clear.
On the other hand, people think that information should not be available for easy access to public as they believe that this easy access can cause serious issues. As some information is only for special people not for public. For example if there is any new finding in field of science but that information can be used incorrectly.
In conclusion, people who believe that sharing information to general public is very helpfull and others believe that information are very important and valuable that not to be shared with public. I believe that sharing information is depends upon the type of information being shared if any information that is confidential to any person that should not be shared.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state a position: sharing should depend on the type of information. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The case for openness is supported by a general example about publishing new findings, while the concern about misuse is mentioned but not explained with a specific consequence or example. Your conclusion repeats your position rather than drawing the discussion together. The response also falls 6 words short of the 250-word minimum; the 8 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and risks more fully and use a concrete example, such as sharing medical research while protecting commercially sensitive data.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “Although,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: ideas are often repeated, and the examples do not develop the reasoning much further. The opening “Although” introduces a dependent clause without a complete main clause, which interrupts the flow. The conclusion also repeats the introduction’s position almost word for word. Build clearer links between each claim, its explanation, and its example, and use referencing to avoid repeating “information” so often.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “disclosed freely,” “restriction,” and “confidential,” so the reader can follow the subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “information,” “shared,” and “important.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “get their doubts clear” and “available for easy access to public,” which make parts of the argument less fluent. Spelling errors such as “reasearch,” “publicaly,” and “helpfull” are also noticeable. Aim for more precise alternatives and check spelling carefully; varied terms such as “findings,” “data,” and “evidence” can help, where they fit the meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. For example, “sharing information is totally depends” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “some facts is” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “Although some people believe that share all information” is incomplete, and “information are very important” uses incorrect agreement with an uncountable noun. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “in field of science.” Practise forming complete clauses and checking agreement, verb forms, and articles. More accurate simple sentences would make your ideas clearer before you attempt longer structures.
