Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You attempt to discuss both sharing information and keeping some information private, and your conclusion gives a personal view: “not sure to share everything.” However, the response only minimally addresses the specific contexts of scientific research, business and academia. The first body paragraph focuses on encouragement and MS Dhoni sharing a “trik,” while the second refers to “black mejik” and people judging or discouraging others; these points do not clearly explain the benefits or risks of sharing valuable information in the areas named in the prompt. Your position is also difficult to identify because “I am agree with this given statement” does not specify which view you support. The response is 234 words, so it is 16 words below the 250-word minimum; develop relevant reasons and examples to meet the requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “firstly” and “secondly,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of how the discussion is organised. However, there is no clear progression within the paragraphs: several points about learning, mistakes, appreciation and encouragement are added without showing how they connect to the topic. Linking phrases such as “and also” are repeated, and references such as “this” and “they” are often unclear. The conclusion repeats the idea of choosing whom to share success with rather than drawing together the two views. To improve, give each paragraph one central claim, explain it in a logical sequence, and use clear references and transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

You use a small number of topic-related words, including “information,” “scientific research,” “business,” “academic,” and “privately,” so the general subject can be recognised. However, vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors strain the reader’s understanding. Examples include “bussiness,” “apretiet,” “uncereage,” “importan,” and “conclution.” Some phrases are also unclear or unsuitable for the task, such as “black mejik,” “wrong site,” and “push you up.” Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing the topic—for example, terms for research findings, commercial secrets, intellectual property and public benefit—and check spelling and collocations. This would help you express the two positions more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences joined with words such as “because,” “and,” and “so,” but sentence structures are very limited and errors are frequent, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I am agree with this given statement” has an incorrect verb form, while “some information is too important to valuable to be share freely” contains problems with the infinitive and passive construction. Subject–verb agreement and sentence formation are also unclear in “they gives you some good information.” Many sentences run together without reliable punctuation. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then add controlled complex sentences. Pay particular attention to verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation so that your ideas are easier to understand.
