Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world while other people argue that some data is too important or valuable to be shared freely. In my opinion some information is important and worth to share because it can be misused by the public if the data is given free.

On the right hand, some informations are reliable to share but if somebody misuse with the data then it may create a large problem. In scientific research, business and academic section people often try to navigate to know the matrix however, if all information are given freely then it may create a huge problem to the society. For example, in Ukraine, people are creating dangerous weapon in scientific research and in business they created new policies because of job competition also in academic world, teacher's job are becoming limited. As a result, the public may face an enormous problem in future.

On the other hand, if the information are giving for a amount of money, then it may maintain the job market. Teachers, scientific research workers and business employers may lead their jobs from their position. For example, in Bangladesh, people are taking a random amount of money for their courses or for job interview exam also in some experiments for learning some new skills. It can assist them to concentrate on their work precisely. Thus, it will create perfect candidates for upcoming research or handling business sector and in the academic world to achieve their goals.

From my perspective, I believe that informations are valuable in every sector because it can make their goals easier to get and only perfect candidates are allowed to get that data.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You introduce both views and state a position, but the response only partially fulfils the discussion task because the arguments are not clearly matched to the question. The first body paragraph warns that freely available information could be misused, while the second mainly argues that charging for information supports jobs; this does not fully explain the benefits of sharing information freely or why valuable information should be protected. Examples about weapons, teachers’ jobs, and course fees are difficult to connect to the claims, and several points remain under-developed. Your final opinion—that information is valuable and should be available only to “perfect candidates”—is clearer, but it needs a more precise explanation and consistent support throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The contrast markers “On the right hand” and “On the other hand” help signal opposing points, and “For example” and “As a result” attempt to connect claims with support. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from misuse of data to weapons, job competition, and teachers’ jobs without explaining the links. The second also shifts from charging for information to job security and candidate quality. Some linking phrases are inaccurate or mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the general position rather than drawing the discussion together. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim and explain its example directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “job market,” “experiments,” and “candidates,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “enormous problem” and “achieve their goals.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “navigate to know the matrix,” “maintain the job market,” and “lead their jobs from their position.” “Informations” is also an incorrect plural form, and “academic section” is less natural than “academic field.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify. Aim for precise, conventional collocations and check word forms; for example, use “information” as an uncountable noun and explain ideas with familiar, accurate phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if all information are given freely then it may create a huge problem” and a concluding clause beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors recur in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction. For example, “some informations are reliable” has a plural agreement problem, while “if the information are giving” uses an incorrect verb form and agreement. In “teacher’s job are becoming limited,” the subject and verb do not agree. Some sentences also contain unclear clause connections, particularly the long example beginning “For example, in Ukraine.” These errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build complex sentences from clearly connected clauses.
