Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely believed that it is better to share as much as possible information in scientific research, bussiness and the academic world. While others argued that some information too essential to be shared freely . I believe that some information should be publicly shared that helped the individuall to grow in certain field. While some information is confidential and sensitive that should remain protected. On the one hand, some information must publicly shared in business world, it help other to improve their manufacturing . Some people exchange their knowledge which helps the companies to increaser the competitive advantages. Moreover, scientict collaborate with one another, exchange their ideas , which is going to be helpful to find the treatment of various diseases.for instance, if researchers from different country start to share their ideas with each other , then it might be possible that they find the treatment of many more diseases which is impossible to find alone. On the other hand, some information are too confidential that it leads to some financial risk . For instance, some business ideas should remain private beacus it may be possible competitors copy the ideas of your business and start earning well and you get a finanicial loss. Furthermore, if someone start to announced their profits publicly , it cause some security issues . For example someone try to scam to you if they come to know about you bank balance . In conclusion, some people should exchange their information wit each other while some information kept private . In my opinion, exchanging information develop more ideas which allow them to grow in their business. while some information are too private that kept intellectualy private.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a personal position: you support sharing knowledge that helps people and businesses develop, while arguing that confidential or sensitive information should be protected. The examples about researchers sharing ideas to find disease treatments and competitors copying business ideas are relevant. This covers the main parts of the prompt, but the discussion is unevenly developed. The benefits of scientific collaboration are explained more fully than the benefits of sharing information in business or academia, and the final opinion largely repeats the introduction rather than clarifying how you would distinguish shareable from protected information. Develop each side with a specific explanation and make your position more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and examples generally appear beside the point they support. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, connections within sentences are sometimes faulty or mechanical, as in “some information must publicly shared in business world, it help…” The conclusion also repeats earlier points without synthesising them. Use clearer sentence boundaries and link each example explicitly to the claim it illustrates.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “confidential,” “sensitive,” “competitive advantages,” “treatment,” and “security issues,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “financial risk.” However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “information,” “ideas,” and “business,” as well as inaccurate word forms and spelling: “bussiness,” “scientict,” “individuall,” and “finanicial.” Some combinations are unnatural, including “exchange their knowledge” and “kept intellectualy private.” Build a more precise set of topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your meaning more consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if researchers from different country…” and a contrast introduced by “While.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include missing verbs or auxiliaries in “some information must publicly shared” and “some information too essential,” agreement errors in “some information are” and “it help,” and faulty clause construction in “While others argued…” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly where a comma joins complete ideas. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clauses before adding more complex structures.
