Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, certain individuals think that sharing information such as scientific research, business and academic research is a good approach while other group argues, that sharing this important information freely is not a good approach. Let's discuss both point of view and in end i give me opinion.

Let's begin with first group who believes that sharing information is right way to share knowledge especially any science research , business ideas or books. For example, if someone how can't afford to buy book instead if we provide them free pdf or copy it will be helpful from them . Also, in different part of world many scientists doing research if they share publicily it will benefit lot of people wether in term of making new medicines , or new methods to cope with differnet type of diseases.

On other hand, those who thinks its not safe to share this useful information freely. As we all are aware nowday's how much important our privacy is , because hackers and stealers are available everywere. For example, we had seen many cases some random person just take someone's research and using without telling them , i believes this is a crime.

To sum up , in my opinion few things such as books are freely available meanwhile , some other important stuff like scientific research it should be only available by paying cost or only limited number of people how are working in same domain . Therefore not every thing should be freely for public , we should take this thing serious and make some rules and regulations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and give a personal position: you support free access to books but argue that scientific research should be restricted or paid for. The examples about free books, medical research and research being taken without permission are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The benefits of sharing research are explained more clearly than the reasons why valuable information should be protected; privacy and theft are mentioned, but the essay does not explain how restricting access would address these concerns or distinguish between types of information. Your final position is also somewhat difficult to interpret because you first say research should be paid for or limited, then conclude that not everything should be public. Develop the opposing arguments and state your position more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On other hand” and “To sum up” help readers follow the discussion, and the examples generally sit with the relevant point. Cohesion is sometimes mechanical, however, because the paragraphs rely heavily on formulaic openings and repeated references to “this information.” Some connections are also unclear: the conclusion moves from books to scientific research without clearly linking this distinction to the earlier discussion, and “Therefore” does not make the relationship between the preceding ideas fully explicit. Use more precise referencing and connect each example directly to the claim it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “scientific research,” “privacy,” “medicines,” and “rules and regulations.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “cope with different type of diseases.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the reader pause: “stealers” is not the intended term for people who take information, and “available by paying cost” is unnatural. Spelling errors such as “publicily,” “wether,” and “everywere” are noticeable. Build a more precise vocabulary for intellectual property and access, and check spelling and common word partnerships when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if someone…” and a contrast introduced by “while.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer structures often contain errors that make meaning less clear. For example, “if someone how can't afford to buy book” has an incorrect relative pronoun and article use, while “those who thinks” has subject–verb disagreement. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, including the comma after “argues” and the run-on structure in the final sentence. Practise building accurate complex sentences with clear clauses, and check agreement, articles, verb forms and punctuation before submitting.
