Student answer (Band 5.0)
The ongoing debate among the people is that individuals should be aware of information about scientific research but on other hand some believe that some information is to significant to be shared freely so we will discuss both views.
Firstly, sharing information about scientific research is very important for academic so peoples should be aware of new technologies and start a work on that and generate different ideas from that. In academic world it to important that you should know about different new technology and information about scientific research so academics also focus on the research and teaches the researchers information. same as for business world it is equally essential to be conscious about information of research as possible so they can enhance their business with the help of that research.
Where as there are also disadvantage of sharing secret information because there are many peoples which misuse that knowledge and secrets and scams peoples regarding that technology so sometime it became important to a make information secret and don`t share with peoples.
Subsequently, In my opinion as i believe that it is important to share all major information about research so peoples can get advantages and opportunities with the help of research and can be a good role for future era.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a preference for sharing research, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the position is not fully clear or consistently explained: the opening says “we will discuss both views,” while the final paragraph gives only a brief opinion. The benefits are mostly general—for example, research can help people “generate different ideas” and businesses “enhance their business”—without a specific example or explanation of how this happens. The concern about misuse and scams is also introduced but not developed. The response is 38 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support the ideas. Develop each view with a concrete example and a clearer, sustained opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting sharing, a paragraph about keeping some information private, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “Where as” help signal the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several points repeat the idea that research information is important without adding a distinct reason. Some links are mechanical or unclear, particularly “Subsequently” before the opinion and “same as for business world,” which does not smoothly connect the academic and business examples. The conclusion also arrives abruptly. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one clear reason, explain it, and then illustrate it; use linking phrases that show the precise relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific research,” “new technologies,” “misuse,” and “secret information,” which makes the subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “information,” “research,” and “important.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “aware of information,” “a good role for future era,” and “scams peoples.” These expressions can make the intended meaning less precise. Aim for more exact collocations and a wider range of terms for both benefits and risks, such as sharing findings, protecting commercially sensitive data, or enabling innovation. Check word forms and spelling as well, including “peoples” where “people” is intended.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example in the opening and in the sentence beginning “Firstly,” but these structures are often difficult to control. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation appear throughout: “so we will discuss both views” is joined to the opening without clear punctuation, and “same as for business world” begins a fragment. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “there are also disadvantage” and “academics also focus … and teaches.” Capitalisation is inconsistent, including “Where as” and “In my opinion.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
