Student answer (Band 5.5)
some people argue that spending too much information for scientific research, business and the academic world is good , while some argue that some information is too valueable to share publicily wrong. This essay will dicuss both views and will give my opinion. In my opinion some information which too valuable must not be shared in public forum which can use against you or can breech your privacy.
In one hand, sharing all information as much as possible for scientific research, business and the academic world help the public .It help the world to understand the research or business and can help them to corelate with thier own experience . It can help the people to understand the research by gathering all the information around the world. for example if a person publish the research on a diease with all the symptoms he or she heard from the world gather on one page . as a result it will help the person who has a symptoms can easily diagnose the diease .
on the other hand, giving all valuable information to a stranger or any forum which is not authorized may result to use the information for wrong purposes. for instance, giving information regarding your bank detail or money on a website even though it is a research based can lead to losing all your money . therefore it is imporant to share only limited amount of inormation to any public forums or for academic world .
In conlusion, people should share only limited amount of information which might not lead to any personal problems. in my opnion share limited information to any public forum for research or academic world which may not lead to any problem for the individual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a position: you support sharing information for public benefit but argue that sensitive information should remain private. The research example about collecting disease symptoms helps illustrate how shared findings could assist diagnosis. However, the response only partly develops the task: the opposing view is mainly explained through personal financial details, rather than considering valuable scientific, business, or academic information more broadly. The example also does not clearly show why information is too valuable to share freely. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and risks in the specific fields named in the prompt, and develop your position with a more balanced, relevant example and clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “In one hand,” “on the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the intended contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from public understanding to worldwide research and then to diagnosis without fully connecting these points. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the idea of sharing limited information rather than drawing together the discussion. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim; vary linking expressions and use pronouns or references carefully to avoid repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “scientific research,” “public forum,” “symptoms,” and “authorized,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “spending too much information” does not express the idea of sharing information, and “share publicily wrong” is difficult to interpret. There are also repeated basic terms such as “information” and “help,” alongside spelling errors such as “valueable,” “diease,” and “inormation.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are expressed naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional structure in “if a person publish the research … it will help.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “It help the world,” “a person publish,” and “a person who has a symptoms,” where subject–verb agreement and article or plural forms are not controlled. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure, while punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their verb forms and agreement. Proofread for sentence boundaries, articles, plurals, and consistent capitalisation.
