Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both views and give a personal opinion, especially when you say that sharing knowledge can improve society but sensitive information may be misused. However, the discussion is only partial: the risks are mentioned generally, and the benefits are not supported with a specific example. Your position also becomes unclear in the conclusion, which ends unfinished: “but overall this is”. The response contains 201 words, below the required 250; 35 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This limits the space available to develop and support your ideas. To improve, explain one benefit and one risk in more detail, give relevant examples, and finish with a clear, complete statement of your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, discussion of access and sensitive information, your opinion, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression is limited because several points are stated briefly without being connected or explained, and the conclusion is incomplete. Some links are also awkward or unclear, such as “Nowadays… so if anyone can want any type information,” which makes the relationship between internet access and the risk to society difficult to follow. Develop each paragraph around one main point, use clear references to connect sentences, and ensure the final paragraph completes the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “sensitive,” “criminals,” “secrets,” “knowledge,” and “betterment of our society,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make the writing less clear, for example “reserch,” “sensetive,” “vauable,” and “feilds.” Phrases such as “science related information” and “information is increased” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing research, confidentiality, and public benefit, and check spelling carefully. Using accurate collocations will help you explain the two positions without relying on broad or repetitive wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast with “On the other hand” and a reason introduced by “so.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, and articles occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “the internet and social media is” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “There is some information which too valuable” is missing a verb. The sentence beginning “In my opinion” also contains several grammatical problems that obscure your point. Practise building complete clauses with accurate subjects and verbs, then check articles, plurals, and punctuation. Shorter, controlled sentences would make your meaning clearer.
