Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the maps, including the key additions like the dual carriageway and the shopping center. You provided a clear overview in the second paragraph. However, the response lacks precision in describing the spatial relationships. For instance, stating 'it can seen several shops' is grammatically unclear, and the description of the future layout is somewhat confusing regarding the location of the new developments. To reach a higher band, ensure that you clearly contrast the 'before' and 'after' states by using precise directional language and ensuring all major changes are accurately located according to the map.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression from the present to the future. You use some cohesive devices like 'Turning to the present layout' and 'Observing the future plan' to signal shifts in focus. However, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes weak due to awkward phrasing and missing articles (e.g., 'in opposite school'). The flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the text feel slightly mechanical. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring consistent referencing would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to describe the changes, using terms like 'redevelopment', 'modernized', and 'dual carriageway'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'academic center is located to attached with main road' and 'The dual Carriageway will added'. These errors occasionally hinder the clarity of your description. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring that your vocabulary is used in the correct grammatical context. Expanding your range of descriptive verbs beyond 'constructed' and 'developed' would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

Your writing shows a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('in northern part', 'in opposite school'), incorrect verb forms ('it can seen', 'will added'), and issues with subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to impact the overall quality of the writing. To improve, pay closer attention to basic sentence construction, particularly the use of passive voice and articles, which are essential for describing maps.
