IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given map illustrates the renovation stretagy of a centre of a smaal town known as Islip.

In over all, the main road is converting to a dual carriageway covering the whole centre almost except school and housing society adjecent to it. Car parking, bus station , shopping centre and a new housing scehme will introduce by reconstructing north sided shops.

To begin with, the main road which is located in the centre will transfer into a duel carriageway. There are shops on both sides of main road south sided shops remains as it is however north sided will demolished to convert them into bus station along with shopping centre car parking. Rest of place will uses to establisg a housing society. At existing main road a walk way will construct.

On the back side of south sided shops another housing is planned at west of park. The park will be at same place but it will surrounded by dual carriageway. Beside the carriageway school and housing will not affeted.
