IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The provided maps compare the structure of the small town lslip and the proposal for its enhancement in the future. Overall, at a fleeting glance in the north of the town the main road that runs from east to west in present will expand to cover the recent countryside and will convert into to ring road by dual carriageway througout the community
To commence, in the north the shops in the both sides of the main road will demolish and new others buildings will be assemble such as bus station, shopping centre, car park, new housing, and pedestrians between shops and shoppin centre.
Going into the depth, in the middle of the town along with pedestrians area new shops will be build to ensure the approach of everyone in the town. Moreover, in the southwest establishment of housing in the southwest of the town is the part of the proposal. however, a school in the southwest, and in south housing will remain un changed, but the location of the park in the southeast will remain uniform however the volume of the park will small in order to accomodate ring road. in the west of the park new housing are planed.
