IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pictorial represenation demonstrates the information related to the plans for renovation of centre of small town known as Islip.

Overall, development plan will change the map of town entirely. The noticable changes are going to happen towards the north side where shops are are going to demolished where new bus stand, shopping centre and car parking are going to contruct. Earlier roads were not properly connected. However, there will be dual carriageway after renovation.

Earlier, park was bigger in size but according to new map area of park will be conjusted and new houses will construct overthere. Moreover, one lane od shops will get demolished and they will get replace with bus stand, shopping centre and car parking which is for pedestrians only. Furthermore, placement of school and another lane of shop will remain unchanged. Although, new housing is going to develop in the north eastern side of town.
