IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The map illustrates Islip which is the centre of a small town as it is in recents days, and developments plans that are going to be after some times.

Overall, there are considerable changes in the planned development. In Islip town center, many developmental rennovations that can favour public has been planned. Many facilities has been added. In present,the center seems to be underdeveloped but it is considered to varies in upcomming development activities.

In the first map, the number of housing was just 2 which increased upto 4 housing. In present there is no bus stations and sepreate car parking is not available but the plan is looking forward to add it. Beside that the shopping center has got a seperate space as well.

However, the park has remain the same as it was in the eastern part of the town. Whereas, there is a minimal change in the size of the school. In the place of main road, in further development it's only availabe for pedestrians.There is a dual carriageway in the southern part of the map.
