IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The maps display the centre of a small town named islip as it is in present,and plans for its development.
Overall,the road centre is planned to undergo significant redevelopment.The main road will be replaced by pedestrians while, the new dual carriage way will be built around the centre.In addition,several new facilities, including bus station,shopping centre and car park, will be introduced, and housing will be expanded.
At present,town looks simple and basic with limited facilities.The road are not connected to each other.In the centre of main road there is two shops corresponding with each other.Moreover,in south-east park is placed there,while,the road is ended in front of school.
In the future,the town centre will change considerably with numerous facilities for citizens.Shop that is near to country side will be replaced for parking area.The road will connected to each other and formed as circle.Furthermore,there will be sufficient area for housing.
Comparing both maps,size of park changed and new housing will introduce.One road is only for pedestrains and shop that is in centre will remain unchanged.The town centre design will change significant
