IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The two diagrams illustrate the information about the recent design of Islip town centre and the new type of plan design for the centre.
Overall, there a lot of structural changes are going to happen in Islip town centre under the new plan.The most noticeable changes are the introduction of dual carriagewag and a new shopping centre.
It is clearly seen that the now there are only shops like a factory outlet and no shopping centre and the main road is in the middle of both side of shops.In addition to these their is no space for the car parking which is very important for the people.
Shifting attention to the rest of information,as per the new design the main road con verted into a dual carriageway and there is also going to made a car park care.Furthermore,there is also a bus stand and extra space will be provided for the new housing.
