IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram revels the mid of a small sub-urb known as Islip now and near future after development and renovations.
Now, there are shops at the south and north of main road,countryside is behind the shops located in north and housing society is across the shops located in the south. While there will be a ring road surrounding whole village connected to main road and additional facilities within in the ring road will also be provided.
There is no shopping centre, bus station and car parking which will be established in near future after renovation of town. A ring road or a dual carriageway will be introduced for the convenience of population inhabbiting there. New housing societies will also be introduced in the northeast and the southeast corner within the park of ring road. Bus station will be established in the northwest corner of ring road. One street in the center of village will be confined to the pedestrians only.
