Student answer (Band 5.0)
Currently Islip town centre covers the basic needs for the countryside residents as well as for the housing area too. But the main concern is the School for countryside resisdents the school is far away and there is no mean of commute available so they can use the public transport. The shops are avaliable for both house residents and countryside residents. The park is also near by for both housing societies which is good for a daily walk or children activities.
To cover these concern we purposed a new development plan for the Islip town center. One of the main issue regarding public transpot is resolved. We'll built the new roads around the Islip tow centre. We know that during this construction we'll have to remove the countryside are and this will also include some houses. To handle this we will provide the new houses to the effected families in the main center area of the Islip town. Next we'll have the proper bus stations, shopping centre and a proper car parking area for the private cars or uber rides. Besides this we also reserve the area for pedestrians. In one side we'll provides these things and in the middle we'll have all the sshops.
Besides this we'll have 2 new housing plan too. One besides the road next to the Car parking and the other one next to the park. Now in this way, a person can access to all the places using the proper roads.
Beyond the road, we have the school which has the proper access to the road so using the public transport eery student can go to the school. So, the main concern about the countryside residents about the school access will solve using this development plan because now they'll move in the new housing which will have the access to the school via new road. Next to the school we already have a housing society which cn access to the school and the park and the other things easily.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response fails to adopt the objective, formal register expected in Academic Task 1. Instead of providing an objective summary of the visual data, the student writes from a personal perspective (e.g., 'we purposed a new development plan', 'We'll built the new roads'). Furthermore, the descriptions of the maps are inaccurate and rely heavily on external assumptions not presented in the prompt, such as discussing 'uber rides' or inventing problems regarding countryside residents. While the student attempts to describe the before and after states, the lack of an objective overview and the inappropriate tone severely limit task achievement. Band 4.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by poor referencing and conversational transitions (e.g., 'Besides this', 'Now in this way'). The relationship between ideas is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical repetition of phrases prevents smooth flow. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structuring of sentences lacks the cohesion expected in an academic report. Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, featuring frequent misspellings such as 'resisdents', 'avaliable', 'purposed', and 'effected'. The student attempts some less common terms like 'pedestrians' and 'dual carriageway', but inaccurate word choices and informal expressions (e.g., 'mean of commute', 'uber rides') constrain the lexical range. These errors occasionally impede communication. Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text contains a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple and active constructions with frequent grammatical errors. Examples of errors include subject-verb agreement issues, tense inconsistencies ('We'll built'), and awkward phrasing ('the main concern is the School for countryside resisdents the school is far away'). Punctuation is basic, and errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader. Band 5.0.
