Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear opinion—“I think it is positive development”—and give a relevant reason: businesses can use digital media to promote products more cheaply and reach people who use social platforms. However, the response addresses the question only partially. It does not explain sufficiently why businesses stress that products are new, and the positive effects are asserted rather than supported with a specific example or developed reasoning. The discussion also ends mid-sentence (“In their promotion compaigns they”), leaving the argument incomplete. The response is 80 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain both parts of the task. Develop the reasons for highlighting novelty and support your view with a concrete example and a clear conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening statement is followed by discussion of social media and then a paragraph expressing a positive view. The reader can identify the general topic and your position. However, ideas are not arranged into a clear, complete progression. The opening focuses on promotion through social campaigns, while the next paragraph shifts between low cost, audience habits, and product novelty without showing how these points connect. Linking words such as “however” and “After” are used, but they do not consistently clarify the relationships between ideas. The final sentence is unfinished, and there is no concluding paragraph. Use a clear structure—reasons businesses emphasise novelty, your evaluation with supporting evidence, and a conclusion—and connect each point explicitly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media platforms,” “printed media,” “marketing,” “digital media,” and “technology.” These terms make the general subject understandable, and you attempt to express ideas about cost, reach, and product differences. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, for example “permote,” “compaigns,” “convineant,” and “reacable.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “show vastly their products” and “new of its own type.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and avoid repeating “product” and “new” without elaboration. Proofreading spelling and choosing precise phrases will help readers follow your meaning more easily.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a sentence joined with “however” and a clause beginning “When people want something related to their need.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “Business used latest social media platforms” has an unclear subject and verb form, while “their product is kind of new and better from others product” has problems with articles, comparison structure, and number. The sentence beginning “I think it is positive development” also needs an article. Several sentences run together or are punctuated inconsistently. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for complete structure.
