Student answer (Band 5.0)
There are ongoing debat about businesses in this time often amphasose that their products are novel in some way. I largely argue that it is a beneficial improvement. This essay will examine why affirmation of businesses that the products are novel is a beneficial things for thier development .
I believe that the confirmation that the prodects are new is a usful thing for marketing, one of the main reasons is that it attract a hug number of costumers to give attention to these products , that is mainly because people prefer new prodects to use. For example , when the business main emphasizes that his product is new, constumers will want to try that gift.
Another reason is that the new prodect attracts the influences who enjoy trying novel things , especially on social media , which make the product popular and obtaining a highest rate of sales, leads to a development of the business. For instance , if a company do an advertisment to her products , and confimes that they are new, they will achieve a highest proportion of sales.
In conclution, the affirmation that the products are new is a beneficial thing for companies and businesses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear view that emphasising novelty is beneficial, and you give two relevant reasons: it can attract customers and draw attention from social-media influencers. However, the task asks both why businesses do this and whether it is positive or negative; the explanation of why is only briefly developed, and the positive judgement is asserted rather than weighed or supported in depth. The examples are hypothetical and repeat the same claim about increased sales, so they do not extend the argument much. The response also contains 200 words, below the required 250, leaving limited space to develop the ideas. Explain the business motives more fully and add a specific example and a considered consequence to strengthen your response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “For example,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and the examples largely restate the preceding point rather than adding evidence. Some connections are awkward, particularly the long sentence beginning “Another reason is that the new product attracts the influences,” where the relationship between popularity, sales, and business development is difficult to follow. The conclusion repeats the position without drawing the reasons together. Develop each paragraph around one clear claim, explain its consequences step by step, and use referencing and transitions more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “novel,” “marketing,” “influencers,” and “proportion of sales,” and you attempt to vary the wording around new products. However, the range remains limited and several inaccurate or misspelled forms make the writing less clear, such as “amphasose,” “prodects,” “costumers,” and “conclution.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “confirmation that the products are new” and “achieve a highest proportion of sales” do not express the ideas idiomatically. Repetition of “new,” “product,” and “beneficial” further restricts variety. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases, such as “highlight a product’s novelty” and “attract potential buyers,” and check spelling and collocation carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, for example, “that is mainly because people prefer new products to use.” This shows an effort to explain reasons, but control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction and agreement sometimes make relationships unclear. In “one of the main reasons is that it attract a huge number,” the verb does not agree with its subject; “which make the product popular” also has an unclear reference and agreement problem. The sentence beginning “Another reason is…” becomes overloaded, while the opening contains an incomplete or awkwardly formed construction. Use shorter, controlled sentences first, then add complex clauses with clear subjects and accurate verb forms. Review articles, plurals, and punctuation as well.
