Student answer (Band 5.0)

These days business companies focus their products are new in some way with help of adverstising. Although there is reason behind advertising product in new way that is increasing productivity. It is negative development.

One of the major reason of this increase productivity. This is due to the fact that most of businesses increase their sale with help of advertising because they give advertising of product in best way and mostly people attract to the products. Its beneficial for industries because they produce more product and gain more benefit. In addition they get chance to promote their companies and increase their business. For instance, In big cities companies promote their product in new way and attract the customers because they can gain financial benefits.

However, It is a negative development as its maniplates consumers. This means that mostly companies launch their products with adverstising and increase their sale. Sometimes, product or service is not good but customer stuck on same item that reasons it can have a negative impact on society because they maniplate the buyers with their product. Also, sometime advertising not good for children because they have bad effect on their life.

To conclude, even though there are several reasons to advertising the product, I believe that its negative development of society because its maniplate the buyers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that emphasising novelty is negative, and you identify two relevant effects: it can increase sales and may manipulate buyers. However, the reasons businesses highlight newness are not fully explained; the discussion mainly repeats that advertising attracts customers and brings financial benefits. The point about children is introduced but not developed or linked clearly to novelty-focused advertising. Your conclusion restates your position without adding support. The response also falls 31 words short of the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and illustrate your ideas. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and address both the reasons for this advertising strategy and your evaluation in more depth.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about business benefits, a contrasting paragraph about consumer harm, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “In addition,” “However,” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are repeated rather than extended—for example, the claims that advertising increases sales and attracts customers recur without a new step in the reasoning. Some references are also difficult to follow, as in “that reasons it can have a negative impact.” Use clearer links between cause and consequence, and organise each paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and a relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “advertising,” “consumers,” “promote,” and “financial benefits,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “increase their sale” and “product in new way.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “increase productivity” when the point appears to be increasing sales, and “customer stuck on same item.” Spelling errors, including “adverstising” and “maniplates,” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing marketing and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including a concession in “Although there is reason…” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Nevertheless, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “business companies focus their products are new,” “most of businesses increase their sale,” and “Sometimes, product or service is not good.” These show problems with clause construction, articles, and agreement. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, such as capitalising “In” and “It” after commas. Practise building complete clauses with accurate subject–verb patterns, then check articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries.
