Student answer (Band 5.5)

These days business companies usually focus their product in some new way with help of advertising. Although there is reason behind advertising product in new way that is increase productivity, it is negative development

.

One of the major reason of this is increase productivity. This is due to the fact that majority of business companies advertise their items in new features with the help of advertising. where more and more people are attracted by new sales and produced then they have curosity to purchased it which help industries to gain more benefit. For instance, companies promote their old products by new packaging to attract the customers because want to sale their old items with profit. Thus, they gain financial benefits.

However, it is a negative deveopment of society as it maniplates consumers. This means that most of the time companies sales product because they want to increase their sales and they mostly sale bad and unusal product in advertising in different ways to complete their stock. Moreover their way of talking and promoting the item is totally different where customer think that it is a new product and they have wish to buy those things but the service is not good.

To conclude, even though there us reason of adversting, i believe that it is negative deveopment of the society because it maniplates consumers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you suggest that businesses highlight novelty to increase sales and profit, and you clearly state that this is negative because it manipulates consumers. The example of old products being given new packaging is relevant and helps explain the sales motive. However, the explanation of why novelty is emphasised remains limited, and the claim that companies promote “bad and unusual” products is not clearly supported. The discussion of consumer harm would be stronger with a specific example or a fuller explanation of how advertising misleads buyers. The response also falls 25 words short of the required minimum, which limits the opportunity to develop your ideas. Expand the reasoning and support both main points more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining the business motive, a paragraph presenting your negative view, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “However,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly where several claims are joined together in the second body paragraph. The opening sentence of that paragraph also repeats the idea of increased productivity rather than clearly introducing a distinct reason. Some connections are mechanical, and references such as “those things” are not fully precise. Organise each body paragraph around one clear point, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “advertising,” “consumers,” “new packaging,” and “financial benefits,” so the main topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to understand. For example, “increase productivity” does not clearly express the idea of increasing sales or profit, while “new sales and produced” is unclear. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “curosity,” “deveopment,” “maniplates,” and “adversting.” Aim to learn common collocations for business and advertising, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the commercial motive and consumer impact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a clause beginning “Although” and explanations using “because” and “where.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries occur throughout. For example, “One of the major reason” needs a plural noun, and “they have curosity to purchased it” contains an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “where more and more people” is not properly connected to the preceding sentence, and the opening “Although” clause does not form a complete, well-controlled sentence. These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate sentence patterns and proofread for subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
