Student answer (Band 5.0)
IT is often argued that, While many people think that advertising emphasise that their products are in some ways is a positive development.I think it is a negative development because advertising of the products by companies to arge people to bought the products without their need.
It is a negative development businessman play with the brain of consumer just to advertise their product by different channels like social media and billboards to encourage people to buy their product without proper cheaking and test drive. For example many cloth shop owners advertising that, they took a sale on new clothes and new articles but in reality the cloths are not new. SEcond main point is that many mobile companise play with buyer just change the shape of mobile and reprsent the old model of cellphone as a new varient.
On the other hand, advertising that the product is new and cheap is helpful for businessman to increase their sale and makke profit. For insetance, large companies of electronics like Dell and HP advertise their products and show them the all products are new and boxpackjust to increase the sales and profit of the firm.It will help busy people to bought things online without going to that location.
In conclusion, i strongly beleive that emphasise that their product are new in some way is a negative development.because it can put a break on new articles and companies to make more difficulties to sell their items.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear negative view in the opening and conclusion, and you give reasons related to misleading promotions and companies presenting old phone models as new. However, the response only partially develops the task. The question asks both why businesses emphasise novelty and whether this is positive or negative; your explanation of the business motive is brief, while the negative effects receive more attention. The positive side is mentioned mainly as helping firms increase sales and helping busy people shop online, but it is not weighed against your position. The clothing and phone examples are relevant, though they need clearer explanation. The response is 9 words below the required minimum, and the ideas would benefit from further development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting negative effects, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “For example,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The first body paragraph moves from manipulation to clothing sales and then mobile phones without clearly linking each example to the main claim. The contrast paragraph also combines business profits with convenience for online shoppers, which are distinct points. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkwardly attached to sentences. Organise each paragraph around one main idea, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to advertising and commerce, including “consumer,” “billboards,” “sale,” “profit,” and “new variant,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “play with the brain of consumer,” “took a sale,” and “put a break on new articles.” Spelling errors, including “cheaking,” “companise,” and “beleive,” are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Repeated use of “new,” “product,” and “advertise” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of phrases for describing marketing motives and consumer effects, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, the range of structures is limited, and complex attempts often contain errors. For example, the opening sentence has faulty clause structure and punctuation, while “encourage people to buy their product without proper cheaking and test drive” does not form a complete, well-controlled sentence. Verb forms and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “to bought” and “their product are new.” Capitalisation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly in the opening and conclusion. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use subordinate clauses only when you can control their structure.
