Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is generally seen that, from advertisement businessman trying to elaborate that their products are new . I tend to disagree with notion.
In the first place, it is becoming more common in today's world and it has a detrimental effect on the society . For example, social media is the main reason that people are using it for advertisement for their products. The original products is sometimes used or fake. Businessman told to their customers that their products are imported. Through editing they make a fake video of their product very impressive . Thus, it is pertinent to say that businesses are fully emphasise their products through advertisement. Therefore, it is a negative development.
In the second place, in some cases, advertisement is good thing, because some people do shopping online therefore it becomes easy for them to see the public reviews and also do shopping . Moreover, it is positive development for the customers and as well as for the businesses. Therefore, it is valid point to say that advertisement is good in some ways .
In my opinion , i would say that if we use the advertisement for the betterment and don't do any fraudulent activity , then it would be far better for the businessman and also for their business. But nowadays it is going to negative development.
In a nutshell, after considering all the above mentioned arguments we can reach a logical conclusion that advertisement is a positive development if the businessman try to emphasise their original new products.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reason for emphasizing 'newness' and the evaluation of whether this is positive or negative. However, the development is limited. The explanation for why businesses emphasize newness is somewhat vague, focusing more on fraudulent practices than the marketing strategy itself. The position is clear, but the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The essay would benefit from more specific examples of how 'newness' influences consumer psychology or market competition, rather than focusing primarily on the issue of fake products, which is only one aspect of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'In the first place' and 'In the second place' are used, but the transition between ideas within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'social media is the main reason that people are using it for advertisement', where the pronoun 'it' lacks a clear antecedent. The progression of ideas is present but feels somewhat disjointed due to the limited range of linking words.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of words like 'advertisement', 'products', and 'businessman'. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'businessman told to their customers' instead of 'businesses claim to their customers'. There are also minor errors in collocation and word form, such as 'fully emphasise' instead of 'fully emphasize' or 'emphasize'. To improve, you should aim to use more varied synonyms and more sophisticated collocations related to marketing and consumer behavior.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('businessman trying to elaborate'), missing articles ('the' before 'advertisement'), and incorrect verb tenses ('Businessman told to their customers'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
