Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this time lot of new products are introduce and available in market which makes human everyday life easy and there are a also very tough
competition in market so everyone who launch their new products they advertising in new way. In my opinion, i believe that this ongoing trend has negative side of this development are articulated in following paragraph.
On one hand, when one company or one man are introduce a new products so everyone are copies that and add 2 or 3 new fectures and launch their product in the market and advertise in new way our product have these additional features and our product are better than other company so everyone doing same thing and actully who made these product they had loss in their bussiness.
On other hand, other people are not theft or product design so goverment are introduce a strict rule and when company create their model they have to patient about that so for that reason theft other product idea is very less but they create same product with other design so in market competition are very high.
In conclusion, in my opinion advertising the product in new way is good but they are theft other product idea and do only that type products which is useful for citizens and not harm to people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing why businesses emphasize new products and offering an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The explanation of why companies copy features is unclear, and the argument regarding government intervention is underdeveloped and lacks logical flow. Furthermore, the response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the response. To improve, you should provide more specific examples and ensure each paragraph fully explores the implications of your arguments rather than stating them in a fragmented manner.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between and within them is weak. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'On one hand' and 'In conclusion', the internal structure of the sentences is often disjointed, making it difficult to follow your train of thought. Referencing is frequently unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the subject of 'everyone' and 'they' is ambiguous. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one to create a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'theft other product idea' instead of 'stealing ideas' or 'intellectual property theft'. Many phrases are non-standard, which occasionally impedes the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary by learning topic-specific collocations related to business, marketing, and innovation. Avoid using simple verbs repeatedly and try to incorporate more precise terminology to convey your meaning more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('everyone who launch', 'everyone are copies'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, making the text difficult to parse. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic grammar are persistent throughout the response. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions. Practicing the construction of complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions will also help you demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
