It is an undeniable fact that businesses make efforts to make their products more popular in todays contemporary epoch. Businesses claim that their products are much better then previous one's to increase their sells in the competitive market. The upcoming paragraphs will discuss both views and show how it impact on the company and an individual.

To begin with, there are several reasons behind companies to emphasis that their products are new in some ways. Firstly, many customers find their products to be useless so companies put efforts to understand customers to improve their commodity. Secondly, some items becomes impractical because they are outdated by new innovations which lowers the value of that particular item. As a result, many industries bring new innovations and upgrade the old products to attract more consumers and to bring their hype in markets. In addition, rapid development encourages businesses to try new things and bring updates to their offerings. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for emphasizing 'newness' and the evaluation of whether this is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of innovation and consumer hype, and the negative impact of overconsumption. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why companies emphasize newness could be more deeply explored beyond just 'maintaining interest.' The position is clear throughout, but the conclusion is brief and lacks a strong summary of the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported with more detailed reasoning or specific, well-integrated examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'Firstly,' and 'In addition,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally slightly awkward, such as in the phrase 'show how it impact on the company.' The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the relationship between ideas is more explicitly stated. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different aspects of the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary epoch' and 'irrefutable fact,' though these are sometimes used slightly unnaturally. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'sells' instead of 'sales,' 'compare' instead of 'comparison,' and 'seals' instead of 'sales.' While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations. Expanding the range of vocabulary to include more topic-specific terminology would enhance the quality of the response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('some items becomes,' 'company launches'), incorrect pluralization ('one's'), and prepositional errors ('in compare to'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor slips throughout. The range of structures is sufficient to convey the argument, but the frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring consistent verb forms would significantly improve the overall standard of the writing.
