Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 127 words. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While the introduction attempts to outline a position, the essay stops abruptly mid-sentence in the second paragraph. Because the response is incomplete, the development of ideas is severely limited, and the prompt's requirements regarding a balanced discussion and supporting examples are not met. To improve, you must ensure you complete the essay structure, including a full body paragraph and a conclusion, while expanding on your arguments with specific examples to meet the minimum length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows an attempt at logical organization through the use of transition signals like 'On the one hand' and 'The primary rationale of this is'. However, because the text is incomplete and ends mid-sentence, the overall progression of ideas is interrupted. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of a completed argument makes it difficult to assess the full coherence of the piece. To achieve a higher score, you need to ensure that each paragraph is fully developed and that ideas flow logically from one to the next, culminating in a clear conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, with attempts at more academic phrasing such as 'compelling arguments' and 'boost the economy'. However, there are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'It is argue' (should be 'It is argued'), 'rationle' (spelling error), and 'products promoting' (should be 'promoting products'). The range of vocabulary is limited by the brevity of the text. To improve, focus on using accurate word forms and expanding your range of topic-specific collocations related to marketing and business innovation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text contains several grammatical errors that hinder fluency, such as 'businesses are constant under pressure' (should be 'constantly'), 'This is can largely be attributed' (incorrect verb structure), and 'products that are presenting throug' (incomplete/incorrect passive voice). While there is an attempt to use complex sentence structures, the frequent errors and the unfinished nature of the sentences significantly impact the accuracy. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct use of passive voice, and ensuring that all sentences are complete and grammatically sound.
