Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but lacks depth. While you identify that businesses emphasize 'newness' to attract customers, the explanation is repetitive and lacks specific analysis of why this trend exists beyond simple profit. The discussion on whether it is positive or negative is underdeveloped; you mention benefits like convenience and drawbacks like deceptive advertising, but these points are not fully explored or supported with convincing evidence. To improve, ensure you provide a clear, consistent position throughout and expand your arguments with more detailed examples rather than repeating the same general ideas about 'good business'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphing is inconsistent, with some paragraphs consisting of only one or two sentences. The flow between ideas is often disjointed, and the use of cohesive devices is very limited and repetitive (e.g., 'through advertising' is used repeatedly to start sentences). To improve, you should organize your essay into a clear introduction, body paragraphs with topic sentences, and a conclusion. Use a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'however' to connect your ideas more logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. You frequently use simple terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'things'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'show specification of your product' (likely meaning 'features') and 'reflects a impact bon a buyer' (typo and awkward phrasing). To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items related to marketing and consumer behavior, and ensure that your word choices are precise and natural in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'advertising business have developed', 'people has positive impact'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structure. Punctuation is also problematic, as many sentences are run-on or lack necessary commas. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and punctuation. Once you are more accurate, try to incorporate more complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
