Student answer (Band 5.5)

In todays time, most of the organizations mainly highlights their new items in diffrent diffrent methods. while this trends offer certain advantages, I believe it even brings some drawbacks, making it both a positive and a negative development.

On the one hand, new products marketing can be seen as a positive development because it gives a certains growths in businesses. Organizations who launch their new products through the advertising then they gets views and people after seeing the new products they also explore their other products. For example, detol lauched their soap through instragram reels or other ways, then people visit throght the products link and after that they also explore their other products. Moreover, it also increase product value, responds and popularity. This leads to a overall companies growth and developments.

On the other hand, there are several negatice consequences of this trends. Firstly, If already launched product does not meet the publics expectations then they roast and oppose that product. This can sometimes destroys companies or businesses market values and earned respects. Secondly, sometime advertising may be harmful or risky beacause of it lead to site hacking risk. For instance, many Organizations have destroyed by the hackers. Like they theft their companies private information and sell them on their opposition.

In conclusion, although advertisng and emphasise only new items is beneficial for the foundations, It also creates challanges such as thefting hacking and security challanging. Therefor, I would consider this trend to be both positive and negative according to the businesses

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize new products and providing an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. The explanation for why companies focus on new products is limited to general growth, and the negative arguments regarding 'roasting' products or 'site hacking' are not directly related to the core concept of product innovation in advertising. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and logical connection to the prompt's focus on the nature of 'newness' in marketing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the transition between the benefits of advertising and the specific example of 'detol' (Dettol) is abrupt. The use of cohesive devices is present but lacks the flexibility required for higher bands, and some sentences feel disjointed due to grammatical errors.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several spelling errors ('todays', 'diffrent', 'negatice', 'beacause', 'challanges') and awkward word choices such as 'thefting' and 'security challanging'. The range is limited, and the student relies on repetitive phrasing. To achieve a higher score, the student needs to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more accurate collocations, while improving spelling accuracy to ensure that communication remains smooth.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('organizations... highlights', 'they gets views'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence construction ('This leads to a overall companies growth'). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to sentence structure and proofreading for basic errors is necessary.
