Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize 'newness' and providing an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of why businesses use this strategy is limited to 'people willing to buy unique things,' and the discussion on the negative aspects relies on vague concepts like 'lab rats.' While the position is clear, the arguments lack depth and specific examples to fully support the claims. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and concrete illustrations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'This is a good approach' and 'On the other hand' are used, but the transition between sentences is sometimes abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'If this task got fail,' which disrupts the flow. The progression of ideas is present but lacks the sophistication required for a higher band. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'willing to by' (buy), 'manipulate the mind,' and 'got fail.' The use of 'mojar' (major) is a spelling error, and 'excellence opportunity' should be 'excellent opportunity.' While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary, the frequent errors in word formation and spelling limit your score. Focusing on learning collocations and checking word forms will help you express your ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('advertisement stated that,' 'advertisements plays'), incorrect verb forms ('it is also can positively... affected'), and awkward phrasing ('it is depend on'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and agreement.
