Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary business landscape, organisations advertise to show that their products have improved in several ways. Public demand to cope with new challenges is the main factor, while this approach is beneficial for the public and corporations because manufacturers improve formulas from previous ones, which can be prepared particularly to address new problems.
One of the major factors is that businesses advertise their new items to explore their advantages. These advantages are crucial for public feedback, either for lowering prices or for being capable of performing in new conditions. This is also significant to inform the public about this product, mainly its ingredient benefits. A good example is multinational companies such as P&G and Unilever advertising before product launches, which can emphasise that whats are the changes have been applied from the previous ones. Thus, businesses provide information of our users about their significant features.
One of the major advantages is that production units can make new products according to the new challenges that people face. For that, professionals use new ingredients and prove through research afterwards that they deliver in the market after their advertisements. Advertisements play a pivotal role in this step because the public becomes aware of the new product. A clear example is that the Haleon company launched an improved Sensodyne. In this item, the manufacturer used research defined flouride which can protect and repair our teeth. Thus, new products can be launched with new ingredients which can be essential to tackle issues nowadays.
In conclusion, organisations prepare and launch new products through advertising, which can be prepared based on people's demand and improved to deal with new problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize 'newness' and providing an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development is somewhat repetitive. While you mention that this is beneficial, the argument lacks depth regarding the potential negative aspects, such as consumerism or planned obsolescence. The position is clear, but the supporting ideas could be more thoroughly explored to reach a higher band. The examples provided, such as P&G and Sensodyne, are relevant and help illustrate your points effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One of the major factors', 'Thus', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences, such as 'what the changes have been applied from the previous ones', are syntactically disjointed, which slightly affects the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary business landscape', 'pivotal role', and 'tackle issues'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'whats are the changes have been applied' and 'deliver in the market'. These errors do not impede communication, but they limit the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring that your vocabulary choices are grammatically integrated into your sentences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with word order and relative clauses, such as 'information of our users' instead of 'information for our users' and 'research defined flouride'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the frequency of these minor grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The majority of your sentences are understandable, but they lack the consistent accuracy required for a band 7.
