Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, business uses advertisement to emphasize that their product is unique and advanced than others by some factors. Mainly, it states that business in new world has advanced product and advertisement that are usually based on lie and illusion. I believe it to be a negative development among businesses that will explode his base one day.
Firstly, business rule also makes this act legal to advertise your product in a new attracting way will increase demand and sales that will further lead to increase in price and double profit for owner or producer. Additionally, it is the demand of human life to be luxurious and advanced with time and these advanced glowing advertisement for products are encouraged internationally.
On the other hand, business is called a business as long as it is legal and fraud in sales or product advertisement and production is a crime so will not be seen as a business worldly. His aim should be services that are comfortable and helpful. It becomes successful when consumer is amazed by using your product and this happens when you work honestly and hardly. The debate reflects that people want the product shown in advertisement and also when it is advanced in real life rather than in video. Afterall, it is business full competition with fellows but not compromised be always real and developed by time not by fake ads.
In conclusion to conclude that, advertising their product in advanced way is good but not in a different way than reality.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize 'newness' and providing an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. The explanation for why businesses use this strategy is somewhat vague, relying on general statements like 'demand of human life to be luxurious'. The argument regarding the negative aspects is also underdeveloped, as the essay struggles to articulate a clear, logical progression of thought. While a position is stated, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For example, the transition 'On the other hand' is used, but the following paragraph does not effectively contrast with the previous one in a coherent way. Referencing is sometimes confusing, such as the use of 'His' to refer to a business or a business owner, which creates ambiguity. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices, they are often used mechanically or incorrectly, making the overall progression of ideas feel disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors that impede clarity, such as 'explode his base' (likely meaning 'collapse') and 'business worldly'. The student uses basic vocabulary and struggles to incorporate more sophisticated or precise language. Phrases like 'advanced glowing advertisement' are unnatural. To improve, the student needs to focus on collocations and more precise terminology related to business and marketing to convey ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'business uses advertisement'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors in complex structures, such as 'advertising their product in advanced way is good but not in a different way than reality.' Punctuation is generally functional, but the overall control of grammar is inconsistent, which limits the ability to express complex ideas clearly.
