Student answer (Band 5.5)
Today many companies give ad of their new items in different way. Although some might consider it negative, I believe that it to be extremely beneficial. Not only because product information and increased sales, but also because of market reach.
There are multiple advantages associated with advertisement. Firstly, product information can be considered as the leading benefit of this development. As people give details about the items and the uses. Take an example, recently a new product was lunched and the company gave information about their product in ads in this way people were able to know about the products. Thus, in term of product information have mega benefit I believe has a potential to make this development a positive development.
Secondly, apart from product information, increased sales can also be another major benefit. As people know about the product so they can able to buy this. For instance, a survey conduct in Nepal, about the know how sales were increased and the main reason of increased sales was advertisement. Hence, increased sales can be labelled as the most significant advantage, giving this development a positive outlook.
Finally, market reach can also be considered a leading benefit of this. As companies directly reacted the people by the advertising and gave awareness of people about their product.
To sum up, even though businesses ads might have some drawbacks too, but i believe that the benefit it brings in terms of product information, increased sales and market reach can make this development an overall positive one.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize newness and providing an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention 'product information,' 'increased sales,' and 'market reach,' these points are not fully extended or supported with sophisticated reasoning. The example regarding a survey in Nepal is vague and lacks sufficient detail to be persuasive. To improve, ensure that your arguments are more thoroughly explored and that your examples are more specific and illustrative of the point being made.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Finally' to signal the progression of your arguments. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. For example, the transition 'Thus, in term of product information have mega benefit' is grammatically unclear and disrupts the logical flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects smoothly to the next would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on simple, repetitive terms such as 'benefit,' 'product,' and 'information.' Phrases like 'mega benefit' are informal and inappropriate for an academic essay. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'give ad of their new items' instead of 'advertise their new products' and 'directly reacted the people' instead of 'reached consumers directly.' To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a survey conduct' instead of 'a survey conducted'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they can able to buy'), and missing articles or prepositions. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or poorly constructed, such as 'Not only because product information and increased sales, but also because of market reach.' To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors in tense and word order.
