Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, many advertisements promote their produce like that they are brand new in some way because consumer wants something fresh stock in their life and they want experience such a product that they did not use before. In my opinion this is a positive development.
One of the main reason for this trend is that many enterprises publish their items in unique way such as they show the item is original and innovative in their ads. This is because some of the individuals especially youngsters prefer latest and genuine products for their use. Furthermore, commercial basically designed for targeted audience. For example, beauty product companies target only female audience and they create advertise that mostly female attracts and they realese up-to-date stock. As a result many women buy these items.
In my perspective, this is a positive development because generally when agencies make goods they depends on customer needs. Firstly consumer needs change frequently by the time. Secondly they want unique taste in their daily life product. For instance, in Canada lots of drinkables are made by one company according to the people taste and this company change their soda's taste by the time and publish innovative campagins for their different flavors. Consequently residents experiences modern taste and enterprise get their profit.
In conclusion, most of the firms highlight their products are contemporary through commercial because nowdays people wants authentic and brand new items so the companies made ads like their products are new. I believe this is a advantageous development because it creates transperency between customer and corporation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize newness and providing an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention consumer desire for 'fresh stock' and 'unique taste,' the arguments lack depth and specific analysis. For instance, the example regarding Canadian soda is a bit vague and does not fully illustrate the broader economic or psychological reasons behind the 'newness' trend. To improve, ensure that your supporting examples are more detailed and directly linked to the core arguments, rather than just stating them briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'many advertisements promote their produce like that they are brand new.' The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between the premise (businesses emphasizing newness) and the conclusion (transparency) is not fully supported by the preceding arguments, making the final point feel slightly disconnected.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'new,' 'products,' and 'items.' There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'produce' (which usually refers to agricultural goods) instead of 'products,' and 'advertise' (a verb) used where the noun 'advertisements' or 'campaigns' is required. Spelling errors like 'realese,' 'campagins,' and 'transperency' occur, though they do not significantly impede communication. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('consumer wants,' 'companies made ads') and article usage ('the' is often missing or misused). Some sentences are awkward, such as 'commercial basically designed for targeted audience.' While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors limits the score. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules like pluralization and verb tense consistency, and try to incorporate more complex structures with greater accuracy.
