In the contemporary era, competition level is high due to advanced technology. Nowadays, business promote their product in distinguish manners in different platform such as social media, newspapers, on the television or mobile phone. This approach can used by particular industries like Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical industries, Automobiles or Smartphones.

There are several reasons companies highlight the unique of their products. Firstly, consumers are naturally attracted to innovation and modification, particularly when new product has greater convenience, facilities, efficiency or quality. Describing something as new version of particular product in advertisement can therefore create curiosity and encourage people to try it. Secondly, nowadays companies to differentiate themselves in competitive market. For instance, smartphone manufacturers frequently advertise upgraded cameras, faster processors and artificial-intelligence features to encourage customers to purchase their latest models. Furthermore, launching new version can help maintain customer interest and strengthen their brand image and their revenue.

I believe that this trend is beneficial for companies because investor can invest their monetary value in further research and development department and make more powerful tool or any product. For example, in pharmaceutical industries invest money in research department it develop more efficient or effective medicine or medical instrument. However, there are some drawback. Sometime companies advertise more effective product but they sell old or do not full-fills their claims. Secondly, due to high quality product may increase overconsumption and it directly affect on environment.

In conclusion, businesses advertise new product mainly to attract consumers, differentiate their products and remain competitive. Although this strategy can sometimes promote unnecessary consumption, I believe it is positive development because it enhanced innovation and technological advancement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: explaining why businesses emphasize 'newness' and providing a personal opinion on whether this is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, such as the focus on innovation and market differentiation. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the reasons for advertising are clear, the discussion on the 'negative' side is brief and lacks depth. The position is clear throughout, but the argument could be strengthened by providing more specific examples or a more balanced exploration of the environmental impact mentioned in the third paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by grammatical errors, such as in the sentence 'This approach can used by particular industries'. Referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression within the third paragraph is slightly hampered by the abrupt transition between the benefits of research and the drawbacks of overconsumption.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'differentiation', 'competitive market', and 'technological advancement'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and form, such as 'highlight the unique of their products' (should be 'uniqueness') and 'distinguish manners' (should be 'distinctive manners'). These errors do not impede communication but prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. A wider range of collocations would improve the sophistication of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and articles, such as 'business promote their product' (should be 'businesses promote their products') and 'in pharmaceutical industries invest money' (should be 'the pharmaceutical industry invests money'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor slips throughout. The errors are frequent enough to be noticeable, but they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the intended meaning.
