Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this contemporary era whether advertising products in new manner is beneficial or not have become a contentious topic over the years. Many firms are advertising their finished goods in a complete new way. The realistic reasons why such business units do this and whether it is positive development or negative develoment for the firms will be elucidated along with pertinent examples in the following paragraphs.

Out of all the reasons why business units performs such experiments in advertising new products, the primary one to state is that they want to attract the consumers. To explain this, it can be elaborated that the main goal of business enterprise is to attract as many customers as possible, which helps to achieve their profit goal, by introducing the product in new manner can create curosity among the individuals, which can create attraction among the consumers who purchase the products. As a result, many firms tries to advertise their product in new manner.

However, it is negative development because there are other factors that the business units has to keep in their mind. To exmplify this perspective, it can be argued that for the sucess of the business unit many factors are responsible for the development of the firms, for instance quality of product, after sale services, image of the enterprise and so on because of which the advertsing goods in new manner is not an only one which is responsible for the growth, but there are several factors that should be focused in business. Due to which if a firm only focus on advertising products in a new way without taking care of quality, service and so on, the consumer may not purchase the product from that enterprise and the competitior may take the advantage. As a consequence, it is negative development.

To recapitulate after analysing all the aforementioned ideas it can be inferred that, many businesses advertise their products in new styles because they want attraction from the customers, However I believe that it is negative deveopment because there are many factors that plays significant role for the development of firms.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The student addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both why businesses emphasise new products in advertising and whether this is a positive or negative development. A clear position is established and maintained throughout the essay. However, the ideas lack full extension and suffer from some repetitiveness, particularly in the body paragraphs where points about attracting consumers and quality control are restated without adding significant depth. For example, the explanation of why firms advertise new products revolves repeatedly around the idea of 'attracting consumers' and 'profit goal' without exploring deeper economic or psychological concepts. Consequently, the performance aligns well with Band 6.0 descriptors, where relevant ideas are presented, but some are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is arranged coherently with a clear overall structure including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by mechanical or repetitive cohesive devices, such as 'To explain this, it can be elaborated that' and 'To exmplify this perspective'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and run-on phrasing affects the flow between clauses, such as in the introduction: 'In this contemporary era whether advertising products in new manner is beneficial or not have become a contentious topic'. These features reflect Band 6.0, where information and coherence are generally present, but cohesion within and between sentences is often faulty or mechanical.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'contentious topic', 'elucidated', and 'competitor'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including 'develoment', 'curosity', 'exmplify', 'sucess', and 'advertsing'. Furthermore, phrasing can be unnatural, such as 'advertising goods in new manner is not an only one'. While these inaccuracies do not severely impede communication because the core meaning remains understandable, they constrain the lexical score. Therefore, a Band 5.5 is appropriate, as the range is adequate, but frequent lexical and spelling errors limit precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, demonstrated by clauses introduced with 'Out of all the reasons why...' and 'Due to which if a firm only focus...'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('business units has', 'many factors plays', 'firm only focus'), article usage ('in new manner', 'a positive development'), and preposition choice. Sentence structures often become convoluted and run-on, which places strain on the reader. Because simple sentences are relatively well-controlled but attempts at complex structures frequently result in grammatical faults, the performance sits comfortably at Band 5.0.
