Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era whether advertising products in new manner is beneficial or not have become a contentious topic over the years. Many firms are advertising their finished goods in a complete new way. The realistic reasons why such business units do this and whether it is positive development or negative develoment for the firms will be elucidated along with pertinent examples in the following paragraphs.
Out of all the reasons why business units performs such experiments in advertising new products, the primary one to state is that they want to attract the consumers. To explain this, it can be elaborated that the main goal of business enterprise is to attract as many customers as possible, which helps to achieve their profit goal, by introducing the product in new manner can create curiosity among the individuals, which can create attraction among the consumers who purchase the products. As a result, many firms tries to advertise their product in new manner.
However, it is negative development because there are other factors that the business units has to keep in their mind. To exemplify this perspective, it can be argued that for the success of the business unit many factors are responsible for the development of the firms, for instance quality of product, after sale services, image of the enterprise and so on because of which the advertising goods in new manner is not an only one which is responsible for the growth, but there are several factors that should be focused in business. As a consequence, it is negative development.
To recapitulate after analysing all the aforementioned ideas it can be inferred that, many businesses advertise their products in new styles because they want attraction from the customers, However I believe that it is negative development because there are many factors that plays significant role for the development of firms.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why businesses emphasise new products and offering a clear position that this is a negative development. Ideas are presented, such as attracting consumers through curiosity, and the counter-argument that other business factors matter more. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and thin. For instance, the explanation of why it is a negative development essentially boils down to stating that quality and service are also important, without deeply exploring the psychological or market-level drawbacks of constant novelty advertising. This places the response comfortably at Band 6, as it addresses all parts of the prompt with relevant ideas, but some points remain under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall arrangement with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, the cohesion relies heavily on mechanical transitions and repetitive phrasing, such as 'To explain this, it can be elaborated that' and 'To exemplify this perspective, it can be argued that.' Referencing is occasionally awkward, and the logical progression between sentences feels laboured rather than fluid. Transitional phrases are overused in a formulaic manner. This demonstrates the characteristics of Band 6, where the overall progression is coherent, but cohesive devices are mechanical and referencing can be imprecise.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'contentious topic,' 'finished goods,' and 'create curiosity.' However, there are notable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'advertising products in new manner' (missing an article), 'business units performs' (subject-verb agreement error with vocabulary), and 'advertising goods in new manner is not an only one.' Spelling is generally accurate, but the lack of lexical precision and repetitive use of basic terms like 'business units' and 'development' prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. This represents a solid Band 5.5 to 6.0 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over multi-clause structures, such as 'Many firms are advertising their finished goods in a complete new way.' However, grammatical errors are frequent throughout the text. There are issues with articles ('in new manner' instead of 'in a new manner'), pluralisation ('many firms tries'), relative clauses, and awkward phrasing that creates run-on structures, such as in the opening sentence: 'In this contemporary era whether advertising products in new manner is beneficial or not have become a contentious topic.' While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they occur with enough frequency to restrict the score to Band 5.0.
