Student answer (Band 4.5)

nowdays promoting new products to want to introduce their bussiness is new trend .yes ofcourse this is positive development to promote their bussiness.firstly when we advertise our new product we gain more clients people know our products then they share there experencie with there colluges or other family members.for example if we introduce our product online such as through any influncer who have more followers on social media if they promote our product through there channel we gain more clints as result our product sale easily we do not take more time and easily our product will sale.secondaly there is also a negative development if we introduce our procuts online through any influncer there is risk people clam on it for example if we promote any product through social media people hank account and wrte negative feedback which effects on our bussiness as result we loss our clients trust therefore we need to care about it when we post on socail media .in conculsion i strongly say that it si postive development to advertie new product because it help to mangage time and in short period of time enggaged more clints and coustmor and seal roduct easily moreover there are also disadvantages also to promote product online like risk of blocked account and negative feedback which break trust of clinent which effects of our seal.therefore we need to very carefull when we promote our product online or offline everytime we should focus on it therfore we get good result and become good bussinesmen.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address both parts of the prompt regarding why businesses emphasise new products and whether this is a positive or negative development. The writer presents a clear position that it is a positive development, while also acknowledging the potential risks such as negative feedback and compromised trust. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. Examples, such as mentioning influencers, are introduced but not fully elaborated, tending to conflate the reasons behind the advertising with the evaluation of its effects. The response fits the criteria for Band 5, as it addresses the task partially and the ideas remain somewhat under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text suffers from a major structural issue as it is written as a single, continuous block of text without proper paragraph breaks. While there is an attempt to sequence ideas logically—moving from reasons to advantages, then disadvantages, and finally a conclusion—the lack of paragraphing severely hinders readability. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, and often misused, such as using 'secondaly' and 'in conculsion' without proper punctuation or transitions. Referencing is frequently unclear due to run-on sentences and a lack of clear boundaries between thoughts. This performance aligns with Band 4 descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive throughout the text, featuring frequent misspellings such as 'nowdays', 'bussiness', 'experencie', 'collugets', 'influncer', 'clints', 'coustmor', and 'carefull'. The range is limited, relying heavily on simple terms like 'product', 'promote', and 'online'. While the writer attempts to use some less common words like 'influencer' and 'feedback', pervasive spelling errors and inaccurate word forms (e.g., 'seal roduct' instead of 'sell products', 'hank account' instead of 'hack account') strain the reader and impede communication at times. This corresponds to a Band 4 level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting almost entirely of long, run-on simple or poorly joined sentences connected by commas instead of proper punctuation or conjunctions. There is a complete absence of complex sentence control, and basic grammatical rules such as subject-verb agreement, capitalization, and tense consistency are frequently ignored (e.g., 'we loss our clients trust', 'which effects on our bussiness'). Errors are extremely frequent and often distort the intended meaning, making the text difficult to parse. This is characteristic of Band 4 grammar.
