Student answer (Band 5.0)
The advertisement has vast importance in daily life routine.Businesses also promote specific products and of course with the promotion of business products must be reliable. The retailers and sellers claims that their products have novelty than others. In this essay I will provide the positive and negative sides of this school of thought.
To begin with, the advertisement is basically the promotion of business. Therefore the businessmen claims that there products are new as they are internationally recognized. This is authentic in some ways as the advertising industry only promotes the quality over quantity. People trust the products and a healthy advertisement grows up which demonstrates the positive effect.
subsequently, the retailers and sellers are asked not to sell the products that are worse in standard or old in some manner. This also demonstrates that customers choice is kept into mind. Additionally, if the products are not of good quality, the business promoting retailers are asked to return that product and get new one. In this sense, the positive relationship is grow up.
This is not always the case, sometimes the company is only using the original brand tags to just promote and sell their product. This results in trust issues customers that impacts negatively.
From my perspective, this is unseen process and there is no proof of whatever they are promoting. This can adversely affect the business leading it to loss if the products being sell are not trustworthy and are outdated. Than lying to the customers and advertisement does not benefits the businesses. Such business development is once in a blue moon and mostly is a scam. Overall, it relies on the products novelty and the statement of advertisers that leads to the either beneficial or dreadful development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why businesses emphasise new products and evaluating whether this is a positive or negative development. A position is stated in the introduction, such as 'In this essay I will provide the positive and negative sides of this school of thought.' However, the ideas are often underdeveloped and repetitive, relying on vague generalisations rather than specific examples. For instance, the discussion on why businesses promote novelty lacks depth regarding consumer psychology or market competition. Furthermore, the argument shifts somewhat abruptly between points without fully exploring the implications of deceptive marketing versus genuine innovation. To achieve a higher band score, the arguments require more robust extension, concrete examples, and a clearer, more consistent stance throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, starting with an introduction, followed by body paragraphs, and a concluding remark. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing cohesion. Phrases like 'subsequently, the retailers and sellers are asked...' and 'This is unseen process...' fail to establish clear relationships between ideas. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or overused, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'This also demonstrates that customers choice is kept into mind,' where 'This' lacks a precise antecedent. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow a smooth line of reasoning from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with several instances of awkward word choice and unnatural collocations that impede fluency. Examples include phrases like 'vast importance in daily life routine,' 'business products must be reliable,' and 'trust issues customers.' The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'authenticity,' 'novelty,' and 'once in a blue moon,' but these are often used inaccurately or inappropriately within the context of an academic essay. Spelling and word-form errors are noticeable throughout the text, such as 'claims' instead of 'claim' and 'is grow up' instead of 'grows' or 'develops.' The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, but lacks the precision required for higher band scores.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak, leading to frequent errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are numerous issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'The advertisement has vast importance' and 'the businessmen claims that there products.' Pronoun confusion is also evident, as seen in 'their' versus 'there.' Punctuation and sentence boundaries are sometimes neglected, resulting in run-on sentences or fragments like 'Than lying to the customers and advertisement does not benefits the businesses.' While some basic sentences are accurate, complex structures are frequently faulty, placing this response firmly in the band 5 range for grammar.
