Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's contemporary world, nowadays enterprises typically stress that their goods are fresh in certain way in their campaign. In my point of view, this trend offer several advantages, I firmly believe that it even brings some drawbacks, making it both a positive and a negative development.
On the one hand, businesses promote their products using print and digital media by awaring people that we have multiple new products in our collection. This lead that more and more people will be knowing new goods which are beneficial for their personal use or for their professional use. Secondly, providing new products for public create competition with other businesses which are offering the same products. Consequently, showcasing your old goods in such a way which is unique and attractive can encourages customer from wide variety of areas. To cite an example, Chinese company Alibaba consistently promoting their products in a new way to motivate and attract customer from around the worlds.
On the other hand, there are several negative consequences of this trend. Firstly, advertising old products in such a way to showcase like new can discourages people. As a result, they will be disappointed if the order product does not meet expectation. For instance, many individuals in Pakistan face the issue of wrong or unexpected products from different online shopping apps like Alibaba, ebay, and temo. Secondly, promoting wrong products in a new way can damage a business in a negative review feedback. Resultantly, public will not more trust on your company and brand, as a result you can lose your billion dollars of business.
In conclusion, advertising products in a new way can awar local people and involving your brand in a competition with other same businesses, while it also creates challenges such as lack of trust from the customer and discouraging people by not ordering again through your company. Therefore this trend to be both positive and negative development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the task: why businesses emphasize new products and whether this is a positive or negative development. The writer establishes a clear position in the introduction, stating that the trend brings both advantages and drawbacks. Ideas are relevant, with the body paragraphs discussing awareness and competition on the one hand, and disappointment and lost trust on the other. However, some ideas lack full extension and suffer from slight repetition, as seen in the conclusion which reiterates previous points without adding new depth. Examples are provided, such as Alibaba and eBay, although they are occasionally applied loosely. Overall, the performance aligns well with the requirements for a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is organized into four distinct paragraphs, following a standard essay structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the text, although some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. Logical progression is generally maintained, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun shifts ('your company', 'you can lose'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate contrasting arguments. These features place the response firmly at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'contemporary world', 'enterprises', and 'consequences'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word forms. Examples include 'fresh in certain way' instead of 'new in some way', 'awaring people' instead of 'making people aware', 'order product' instead of 'ordered product', and 'wrong products' when referring to misrepresented items. Spelling errors such as 'temo' (Temo/Temu) also appear. While these lexical errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the score to Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, attempting complex forms with conditional and relative clauses ('businesses promote their products using print and digital media by awaring people that...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. Examples include 'this trend offer', 'this lead that more and more people will be knowing', 'can encourages customer', and 'public will not more trust on your company'. These errors can cause occasional difficulty for the reader, matching the profile for a Band 5.0.
