Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that nowadays advertisements of different businesses mainly targted the audiance as these advertising material mainly focused on presenting their products as new in the market. It is because new trends and products have more attractions of consumers and companies want to earn significant revenue. I agree with the perspective that there should be some limitations to advertising as fake claims may cause detrimental effects on the public such as trust issues and loss of profit.
Although advertisements play a vital role in the progress of a business, these may cause harm effects to the company when these are not broadcast in standard way. As when companies represents their product as latest version or brandnew then these advertisements increase the expectation level of buyers. For example, mobile phone companies when launch the latest version of phones their advertisements cover the new specifications of products as Apple i-phone company. Additionally, these types of advertisments influnce the consumers to bought new article, if these products somehow not able to fullfill the expections of buyers results in the lack of trust and low profit. This development can cause negative effects to the companies.
Moreover, these types of advertising material included in the projects of the companies with different point of views. There is a pressing pressure on the new businesses from the market to launch new products with latest version. So, they prefer to make more content on the specificity of claiming new product rather than its qualities. On the other hand, Companies also want to target specific audiance so that they can advertise their products on large scale for buyers. But they may ignore the audiance who just not want new thing but want to know about qualities and other specifications.
In conclusion, I believe that advertising products as new arti is the need of bussinesses to cope with the competition in the market but it ois also a beneficial step for them just not focus on new version but also on the quality and other details too.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why businesses emphasise that their products are new, and whether this is a positive or negative development. The student presents a clear position regarding the potential negative impacts of fake claims and unrealistic expectations, noting that companies must cope with market competition. However, some ideas are underdeveloped and the reasoning can be repetitive. For instance, the discussion on mobile phone companies like Apple is a relevant example, but its connection to trust issues and loss of profit is stated rather than fully explored. Overall, the response meets the requirements for Band 6, as all parts of the task are addressed, but some arguments lack depth and clarity.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a clear overall arrangement and attempts to organise ideas into paragraphs. Paragraphing is present, though the internal structure of the body paragraphs lacks smooth progression and logical transitions. Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'Additionally, these types of advertisments influnce the consumers to bought new article, if these products somehow not able to fullfill...' which creates run-on clauses and unclear referencing. While the introduction and conclusion frame the essay reasonably well, the flow within the body paragraphs is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and cohesion issues, placing it firmly at Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'detrimental effects', 'specification', and 'competition'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'targted', 'audiance', 'brandnew', 'influnce', 'bought' instead of 'buy', 'arti', and 'bussinesses'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, although communication is generally maintained. Because the errors are frequent and involve basic as well as more complex vocabulary, the lexical resource is characteristic of Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb forms, article usage, and sentence construction, such as 'these advertising material mainly focused', 'these may cause harm effects', and 'it ois also a beneficial step for them just not focus on new version'. Complex structures are often faulty and require re-reading to understand. Although the meaning can usually be deciphered, the high density of grammatical and punctuation errors prevents the response from reaching Band 6.
