Student answer (Band 4.0)

In the advertisment we see that the business man use the technique of tell that the product has some thing new like a new fiture in the product we can tell it is there markiting way to do the thing and allthought they do this some time it is negative and some time positive.

example like the i phone a phone company who has the huge market in the whole world they do the positive marketing like they give the varient of there phone like we have a i phone 13 then there is the pro verson for the person who are taking photo much and the performance and the price is also more then the normal verson.

But some time some phone like oppo has the same verson in same range like oppo a17 and oppo a14 they are same in style and colour but the negavite part is that there are saling it in the different price range like one is at 12000 and second is at 15000 because of the name and the launch date the price are decided.

so this is the problem in the businesses nowdays the tell that we have new thing but htey dont in there product there are all the similer then they launch befor that why some time it is psitive and also negative in other hand

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why businesses emphasise new features and whether this is positive or negative. However, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. For instance, the discussion regarding iPhone and Oppo attempts to provide examples, but the reasoning remains simplistic and confused. Furthermore, the response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, containing only 226 words. This under-length impacts the overall development and completeness of the task, capping the score at Band 4.5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The text lacks proper paragraphing and is essentially written as a single block of run-on text with minimal punctuation. Cohesive devices are very basic or missing entirely, relying on repetitive conjunctions like 'and' or weak transitions such as 'so this is the problem in the businesses nowdays'. There is no clear logical progression between sentences, and the lack of clear referencing makes the text difficult to follow. These features align closely with the descriptors for Band 4.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and heavily flawed. Frequent spelling errors such as 'advertisment', 'marketig', 'althought', 'varient', 'versons', 'saling', and 'similer' severely impede readability. The range of vocabulary is extremely restricted, relying on elementary terms to express basic ideas. There is an inability to use less common lexical items accurately. These issues place the response firmly in the Band 4.0 category.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. There is an almost complete absence of correct punctuation, resulting in long, run-on sentences with incorrect clause boundaries. Simple sentence forms are frequently misconstructed, and there are pervasive errors in verb forms, tense usage, and agreement, such as 'the business man use', 'they are saling it', and 'they tell that we have new thing but htey dont in there product'. These frequent errors distort meaning and strain the reader, fitting the Band 4.0 descriptors.
