Student answer (Band 5.0)
In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasize that their products are new in some way. As a business point of view it is positive aspect. People attract those product who fascinating the most in social media .The marketing technique.can easily buy product
Advertise product can help a business to sell a product. it can support business some how.The business adapt those product who needs the market most. The brands are very strongly for advertisement. This can help businesses build a stronger brand reputation. For example if i want to buy something i will goes that website who attract me most and buy the product what i need
Many business needs new product that has less competition in market. New product can grow a business very fast. Advertise a new product can attract buyer easily.Consumers are often curious about new products and technologies.People may believe that a new product is better than an older version. Some advertisements suggest that customers will miss out if they do not buy the latest product. For example many smartphones brand like Apple Samsung can introduce her product yearly in market and people will buy it
In conclusion, businesses emphasise the newness of their products mainly to attract customers and compete in the marketplace. While this can encourage useful innovation and give consumers better products, I believe that excessive focus on novelty is a negative development because it can promote unnecessary spending and environmental waste. Consumers should therefore consider whether a new product offers genuine benefits before deciding to buy it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
It must be noted first that the response is 5 words short of the 250-word minimum, excluding 8 words copied directly from the prompt. Regarding task coverage, the response addresses all parts of the task by discussing why businesses emphasise that products are new and giving an opinion on whether this is a positive or negative development, but the ideas are limited and under-developed. For instance, the explanation of why it is positive from a business perspective is quite basic, stating that 'Advertise product can help a business to sell a product' without much elaboration. The position becomes clearer in the final paragraph, but the supporting arguments throughout the body paragraphs lack sufficient depth and specific detail, keeping the response at this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text demonstrates some organisation with paragraphing used to separate distinct ideas, such as the introduction of business benefits followed by consumer habits and the conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression across the essay, and the flow is frequently disrupted by abrupt shifts in ideas. Cohesive devices are often inadequate, inaccurate, or overused, with many sentences lacking proper linking words or relying on repetitive structures like 'New product can grow a business very fast' and 'Advertise a new product can attract buyer easily.' Furthermore, referencing is not always clear, as seen in the second paragraph where pronouns and linking phrases fail to maintain a smooth logical thread between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'innovation', 'technology', and 'marketplace', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form, such as 'As a business point of view', 'People attract those product', and 'Advertise product'. Spelling and morphological inaccuracies, such as missing plural markers ('Many business needs') and incorrect verb forms used as nouns, occur frequently and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader in fully grasping the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with occasional, mostly unsuccessful, attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('business needs'), missing articles ('in market'), incorrect prepositions ('in their advertising' versus 'As a business point of view'), and faulty pronoun reference ('introduce her product'). These frequent errors in grammar and punctuation cause considerable difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from achieving a higher level of structural accuracy and variety.
