Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, Businesses are advertising their products are unique.Because, to attract customers for improving thier sales.I belive that it is a positive development.

The primary reason for advertising in a new way is to enhance their product sales.if company promote thier goods in a common way like other companies then people confuse where to buy the product because of lack of understanding of the product. So, when company advertise in a different way by using new technologies then people will have clear idea about the product and it features.for example, furniture stores using virtual reality to create a virtual chair, sofa and bed in custormers home for their better understanding to know if it fits in home or not, so customer can decide whether to buy or not.Hence, many organigations using different ways for advertising to improve their sales.

In my view, this is a postive developement because it encourages to innovate new products into the market. When companies produce different kind of new products in to the market, then people have more number of option to consider, instead of buying the old model products people can buy modren goods.moreover, this idea also contribute to development of the country economy because when sales increases then turnover of the money increases with in the country.so, it can contribute to delev

In conclusion, the reason for this is to improve the product sales. This is positive development because it encourages companies to innovate new things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why businesses emphasise new products and giving a clear opinion that it is a positive development. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, particularly in the body paragraphs where examples and explanations lack depth. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the response falls short of the minimum two hundred and fifty-word limit, stopping at two hundred and forty-one words. While the main parts of the prompt are touched upon—such as improving sales and encouraging innovation—the lack of fully expanded arguments and the failure to reach the required word count prevent the response from achieving a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some basic organisation with discernible introduction, body, and conclusion sections, and paragraphs are used. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the formatting is disrupted by abrupt breaks and an incomplete final sentence where the text cuts off with 'so, it can contribute to delev'. Cohesive devices are used rather repetitively and sometimes inaccurately, such as starting multiple sentences and paragraphs with 'Nowadays', 'So', and 'In conclusion'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical links between sentences can feel mechanical or disjointed, which restricts the overall flow and structural coherence of the piece.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'organigations', 'innovate', and 'turnover', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in spelling, word form, and word choice, such as 'postive developement', 'custormers', and 'modren goods'. Errors such as 'thier' instead of 'their' and incorrect word forms like 'delev' occur throughout the text. These lexical limitations and errors cause some difficulty for the reader, though the general meaning of the argument can still be understood.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is quite limited, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex structures, which are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, including missing articles ('into market', 'to country economy'), faulty verb forms ('company promote', 'furniture stores using'), punctuation errors, and sentence fragments ('Because, to attract customers...'). Punctuation is inconsistently handled, with missing spaces after periods and commas, and lower-case letters used at the start of sentences. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader throughout the text.
