Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear opinion that this is a positive development and include relevant points about innovation, convenience, employment and customer choice. The personal example about seeing a makeup advertisement and ordering the product also supports your view. However, the reasons businesses emphasise novelty are not explained directly enough: you could discuss attracting attention, differentiating products from competitors, or increasing sales. The job-creation point is asserted rather than developed, and the conclusion lists benefits without fully answering why businesses use this strategy. The response is 240 words, so it is 10 words below the required minimum; this limits the opportunity to develop the task fully. Add explanation and a more specific example to address both parts more completely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow the general positive position. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help signal stages in the response. However, the progression is not consistently logical: the paragraph beginning “On the other hand” does not present a contrasting view, but continues listing advantages. The example about ordering makeup also takes up considerable space without clearly connecting each detail to the question of why businesses promote newness. Some transitions, including “Eventually,” do not express the intended relationship clearly, and the conclusion is an incomplete summary. Group the reasons businesses advertise novelty together, then explain the effects on consumers, using more precise links between each claim and its support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “innovate,” “features,” “convenient,” “job opportunities,” and “advertisements,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “an array” and “plethora.” However, several choices or combinations are unnatural or imprecise, including “positive development” where you mean multiple benefits, “choose latest products,” and “positive impact on people about buying products.” Spelling and word-form slips such as “thier” and “makeup products” are noticeable, while repeated use of “products” and “positive” limits variety. Aim for more precise collocations, such as “attract consumers,” “gain a competitive advantage,” and “influence purchasing decisions,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “when companies compete with each other they try to add new features” and a longer sequence describing your online purchase. This gives some variety, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors are frequent and sometimes make sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “there is an array of positive development,” “they can buy which they feel suitable,” and “although, there are plethora of merits are saving people time.” Articles, agreement, sentence construction and punctuation need attention. Capitalisation is also inconsistent, as in “when” after a full stop and “i.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, plural forms and punctuation before submitting.
