Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the recent era, many businesses try to emphasise that their products are the latest and best in the market in every conditions. The business owners try to attract more customer by showing new products in advertising, which may affect the sales of a business. The reason behind this stratergy and how it affects the development are discussed further.
In many businesses the owners have to show freshness to sale their products. One of the major reason behind it, is the mindset of consumers. Many folks just buy product by verfying the manufracturing date of it and assume that it will be new launched and it might provide the freshness. For instance, every dairy products are sold by marketing them as brand new products, so more people attract towards it and can rise the sale of that particular product.
Furthermore, it too have some downside, many businesses false promise in their advertising about their products which can lead to several consequences. In addition to that, many individuals fall for the advertising and get trap by their marketing skims, which can cause financial loss, mental stress, etc. To prevent this kind of situation government should ban those kind of fake ads and imply businesses to print the exact product on packaging and ads. One of the best example could be japanese market, in which every company have to show exact product on brand packaging and clear image of products on advertising.
To conclude this, i firmly believe that it affects our development very badly, people get influence by wrong ads and get into trap of marketing. However, if the company is genuine and provides the exact products as promised in ads than it can be a good way of marketing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions by suggesting that businesses highlight novelty to attract customers and by arguing that misleading advertising is harmful. The examples about dairy products and Japanese packaging help make the discussion relevant. However, the explanation of why businesses stress that products are new is only partly developed: the consumer focus on manufacturing dates is mentioned, but the link between novelty claims and competition or increased sales could be explained more clearly. Your negative position is stated in the conclusion, although the body also acknowledges that honest advertising can be beneficial. Develop this qualification and distinguish more clearly between genuine product innovation and misleading claims to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs also have identifiable purposes, moving from a reason for novelty-focused advertising to its possible harms. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “In addition to that” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. At times, however, the progression within a paragraph is less clear. The first body paragraph moves from manufacturing dates to “new launched” products and then to dairy sales without fully explaining the connections. Some transitions, including “In addition to that,” feel mechanical, and “this” in the conclusion has an unclear reference. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and make each paragraph develop one central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “advertising,” “consumers,” “financial loss” and “marketing,” and the main ideas remain understandable. However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “products,” “businesses” and “ads,” as well as inaccurate word choices and collocations. Phrases such as “show freshness to sale their products,” “marketing skims” and “get trap” do not express the intended meaning naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, for example “stratergy,” “verfying” and “manufracturing.” Build a more precise vocabulary for product innovation and deceptive promotion, and check spelling and word forms carefully so that your meaning is consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which can lead to several consequences” and a conditional structure in “if the company is genuine.” This gives the response some variety, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles and verb forms: “One of the major reason” should be plural, “every dairy products are” has mismatched number, and “it too have” needs a singular verb. The sentence beginning “Many folks just buy product” also needs an article or plural noun. Review subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms, then proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex sentences clearer.
