Student answer (Band 4.5)
Now-a-days, many businesses had joined the war of advertising their products and breaks. It is a very positive development toward their consumers that buys product from them.
From my perspective, as more of the business man advertise their product just for marketing and to sell it. According to the people's will they want an affordable and a useful product. As in their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasize that their products are new in some way. The process of advertising has positive and negative effects.
Placing look on its advantages, it is a positive development that some of the products are new in some way. They may have changed the formulation of the product to make it more effective. The streaming of new products that are really useful made its marketing a huge profit. Due to advertising it people my buy it more and that product will make a climb upward.
However, if something has some advantages it may also have some disadvantages too. Seeing the disadvantages of marketing. First of all, if a business made a duplicate product or replica of something expensive. Then they did compromise on its quality. In today's world compromising on the quality is not acceptable.
If we sell wrong, duplicate and quality compromised products to our customers then we are hurting them.
Taking everything into account, a business owner should place their eye on their products first and then sell them to customers. If their products are good and worth the money then they will build trust on the owner.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a view that emphasising newness is positive, and you mention both possible benefits and drawbacks, including improved product formulation and the risk of poor-quality replicas. However, the response only partially answers the task: it does not clearly explain why businesses emphasise novelty, and the discussion of the negative side shifts towards selling counterfeit goods rather than advertising products as new. Several points, such as “make a climb upward,” are not explained or supported with a specific example. The conclusion focuses on product quality and customer trust rather than directly resolving whether this advertising trend is positive or negative. The response is 247 words, three words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop the reasons and support your position more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, discussion of advantages, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “However” and “Taking everything into account” help show the intended direction. However, progression is not consistently clear. The second paragraph repeats the task wording without developing it, while “Seeing the disadvantages of marketing. First of all” creates a fragment and an abrupt transition. Some references are difficult to follow, as in “The streaming of new products that are really useful made its marketing a huge profit” and “that product will make a climb upward.” The final paragraph also introduces advice to business owners rather than neatly summarising the argument. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point directly to the paragraph’s main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “advertising,” “formulation,” “effective,” “duplicate product,” “quality,” and “trust.” This gives you enough basic language to communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make ideas unclear, such as “joined the war of advertising,” “the streaming of new products,” and “make a climb upward.” “Breaks” appears to be an inaccurate word for the products being advertised, and “place their eye on” is not a natural expression in this context. There is also repetition of “product” and “positive development.” Aim for more precise phrases such as “competition to promote products,” “launch of new products,” and “increase sales,” and check that each expression fits its intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “If we sell wrong, duplicate and quality compromised products to our customers then we are hurting them.” However, the range remains limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. For example, “many businesses had joined” uses an unsuitable tense for a general present-day trend, while “more of the business man advertise” has problems with number and subject–verb agreement. “They may have changed the formulation … to make it more effective” is followed by “made its marketing,” creating an unclear tense and sentence relationship. There are also sentence fragments, including “Seeing the disadvantages of marketing.” Practise building complete sentences with accurate agreement and tense, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
