Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this globalised world advancement of technolgy advertising businesses emphasise their products has become a conterversial issue. In their advertising , businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new in some way. Why is this do you think it is a positive or negative development.I will discuss both sides first and then give my own opinion at the end.I strongly agreed with empphasisie that their products is negative development.
On the one hand there several losses of advertising businesses like people cannot choose our favourtite things because of emphasise .Furthermore, people not check thier budget ads provide pressure to buy some thing after watching ads. Morever,if you using social platforms you should be watch ads in every app and also in the website like shopping ads if in mistake you touch this makes emphasise to buy sop thats why it is negative development.
On the other hand there are alot of benifits only for businessmen. For example, in present days business mens make the ads of their products they solds products and they also runs the business and makes profits it is positive development for businesses. Although, in the future develop improvements on the advertising that should be create limited regulations on the advertising in such oif case will be make positive for people but this time is only for businesses .
In conclusion, according to me it nowadays it is negative development beacuse our social platforms in trouble of the ads and the businesses uslually make emphasise to buy and products new in some way .In addition, this development also positive only businesses because advertising makes profits for businessmen they think its positive. Finally it may say on make some developments not make emphasise on products just only provide information to peple not forcefukky.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear negative view in the opening and conclusion, and you attempt to address both why businesses highlight novelty and whether this is positive or negative. However, the reasons are only partly explained: the point that advertising pressures people to buy is relevant, but the link between emphasising newness and this pressure needs clearer development. The benefits paragraph mainly says businesses make profits, without explaining why presenting products as new helps them do so. The discussion of possible regulations is also unclear and does not directly answer the main question. The response therefore addresses the task only partially, with limited support. To strengthen it, explain the commercial motive—such as attracting attention or differentiating a product—and develop one specific example for each main point. (28 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting sides, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, and several ideas are joined without clear relationships. For example, the sentence beginning “Morever, if you using social platforms” moves from seeing advertisements to accidentally touching one and then being pressured to buy, but the sequence is not clearly explained. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically or inaccurately, including “Although” before a statement that does not form a contrast. Use shorter, logically ordered sentences and make each paragraph develop one central point with clear links between examples and claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “advertising,” “products,” “profits,” “regulations,” and “social platforms,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “conterversial,” “empphasisie,” “benifits,” and “forcefukky.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “make emphasise” and “there are alot of benifits only for businessmen.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for attracting customers, promoting innovation, and influencing purchasing decisions would help you explain your ideas more clearly and avoid repeating “businesses” and “ads.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt a few longer structures, including “Although, in the future…” and the conditional idea beginning “if you using social platforms,” but control is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes obscuring meaning. Examples include “businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new” being repeated as an incomplete question, “there several losses,” and “if you using social platforms you should be watch ads.” There are also problems with subject–verb agreement and verb forms, as in “business mens… they solds products” and “advertising makes profits for businessmen they think its positive.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are often missing, particularly where separate ideas run together. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences using correctly formed clauses, verbs, and punctuation.
